Hi there,
We are leaving for our trip on rented points in 15 sleeps :cool1: !!!
I just realized I may have a problem :confused3, so I'm hoping someone can help clear this up for me.
We are adding the regular dining plan to our reservation. We are there 8 nights and are adding 7 nights DDP since one day we are going to be off site and have no table services booked. Here's my dilemma:
Sunday: TS
Monday: TS
Tuesday: TS
Wednesday: none
Thursday: TS
Friday: TS
Saturday: TS
Sunday: TS
So, we are using those 7 TS credits over 8 nights. Is this allowed?
Is it true that the credits will be available to use up to the Sunday at midnight?
I hope this makes sense as I'm a little concerned now. This may mean either adding 8 nights DDP or paying out of pocket for the last one and losing a credit.
Any input? Thanks so much in advance!!!!!!!!!!:worship:

It looks like you have split your stay into Sunday - Wednesday and Thursday - Sunday. I believe that the 3 credits for the Sunday - Wednesday stay need to be used by midnight on Wednesday and the 3 credits for the Thursday - Sunday stay will expire at midnight on Sunday. Dining credits are good thru the end of the check-out day for each stay. If Sunday is your departure day the credits are good thru that day - but I don't thing you will really have 7 credits unless you are leaving on Monday with a Sunday night stay. It looks to me like you have 6 nights you are staying using the DDP (Arrive Sunday - checkout Wednesday= 3 nights, Arrive Thursday - Checkout Sunday= 3 nights.) If your checkout day is Monday, then you will have credits valid thru Monday night.

I may not understand what your reservation actually looks like though. :(

It sounds as if you have not added the plan yet. when you do you need to tell them you want it for the first 3 nights and the last 4. That will result in a segmented reservation and you may need to check out and back in on the Wednesday and Thursday. I did this in Dec and had to have new keys issued. They may be doing it differently now.

I could be wrong but I do not think you can segment your trip after reservations are made.

Sunday: TS
Monday: TS
Tuesday: TS
Wednesday: none
Thursday: TS
Friday: TS
Saturday: TS
Sunday: TS

If you arrive on Sunday and leave Monday you have until 11:59 Monday to use all your credits (non=Segmented trip). You would have to buy the plan for everynight which would be 8 nights

As others have already said, you will NOT be able to use all credits over the entire 8 days. The segmented plan will make that impossible. You will only be able to use each segment's meal points until midnight of the last night of that segment. Another issue is that many people have had issues with the segmented meal credits not working. Many have been required to pay OOP for their meals and get reimbursed afterward. That would be a royal PITA for me, and I'd probably just not want to be bothered with it.

Are you actually still spending the night there, but not the day on-site? If you still feel you must have the DDP, I'd probably go ahead and pay for that extra day just to avoid the segmenting hassle and treat yourselves to another signature restaurant.

Frankly, I find the dining plan doesn't work well for us anyway in its current form.

Thanks everyone!
I think we've worked it out. The segmenting and checking in/out seems like a waste of time to us, so we're going to pay OOP and avoid the hassle. Thanks again for the wonderful input - helps a lot!!! :worship:
