DDP Child Upgrade / kids meals oop

We are going to WDW in Dec. on the free dining promo. My dd is 11, ds is 9. We have our adr made and as it stands we'll be paying oop for CRT on our last day

My question is this.... if we have cards that show 4 adults, can we redeem 3 TS credits then purchase a child meal for my son oop? We are hoping to save a few credits along the way.

Sure, you can pay out of pocket for any meal at any time. Just make sure the server understands up front what you want to do.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if we paid to upgrade him to adult if that would cause problems at the restaurants if he ate a kids meal that we paid oop for.
