First time I booked an 'package' offered by disney.com at YC/BC::yes:: . We included park hoppers tix, dining plan, etc. When will I receive my package in the mail,? and how does the dining work?...will they give us tix for food? :confused3 Also, one person in our party will be checking in for the weekend, they told us we had to book them the whole stay (10 days on package)...does anyone forsee this as a problem? Has anyone had to do this? Thanks for all the info DisRocks!!!:woohoo:

Your tickets and your dining credits will be encoded on your resort ID. It looks like a credit card, and also acts as your room key. If you give them a credit card number when you check in, you can also charge purchases on your resort ID. Very handy. Of course, this will be given to you at check-in, so you won't get any tickets or dining plan stuff in the mail.

The rules of the dining plan state that everyone in the room must be on the plan, for the entire length of your stay. That's why your guest who's staying for two days will be changed for the entire 10 days of the plan.

Note that you don't have a buy a 10 day ticket for this person....each person needs to have at least a one-day ticket. So, if they're going to be in the parks for two days, you only need to get them a two-day ticket.

Some have reported that if you add the person at check-in, the dining plan requirement MAY be waived. Might be worth a try.

Upon check in your key card to your room will include your park tickets and your meal plan. So when you are eating one of the TS it is important to tell the CM that you are on the DDP so it can be subtracted from the plan. I'm not sure how they will deal with your late arrival.

Yes, if you add them at check-in they will be room-only and not on the package you are on. We did this with my brother last summer who is in the military and wanted to use his military discount for the tickets. This works as long as you are not over the room limit for the room you have booked. In fact, I am not sure that you COULD add them to the dining plan at that time. Even if you could, it would not be free dining.

OK, I just called Disney Reservations again, and got another CM. It seems I am getting different responses from the different CM's!!!:furious: Well, I asked about getting the Park Hoppers Changed for the one person from 10 days to 2 days and they said I CANNOT do this....everyone needs to be on the same exact plan. We are getting FREE dining (on the DDP) and he said we will just end up with a whole lot of extra dining CS, and TS for him cause we had to put him on the entire length of trip and this is OK!!! We will have LOTS of Food. We will be a family of 5 so that is fine for room size, not an issue.

Will each person in our party get their own 'key card"? :confused3 Also, do you know when we get the passes for the 'ME" Magical Express? Thanks!!!

Everything will be on your Key To The World Cards when you check in. When you book a package, you receive these cards at check in. Everyone in your party will have access to all dining credits via their own card, so if you have teens or other adults who may "abuse" their allotment on the plan without your consent, you may want to monitor the useage.

Everyone on the package must have the same travel dates, dining plan and ticket days. You could always start w/ the low amount of ticket days and upgrade what you need when you arrive. But to book it initally, everyone has to be the same.

Yes, everyone will have their own card.
You will receive the vouchers and luggage tags for ME about a month to two weeks prior to travel.
