DDP and ticket packages

Ok, silly newbie question.

We are planning our first trip home Feb '09 and are bring my BIL, SIL and niece to treat them. My BIL gets a ticket discount thru his work and wants to pick up our tickets as a thank you. Can we all still get DDP even though our tickets are not being purchased thru Disney?

When staying at a DVC resort, you may purchase the DDP only. There is no 'package' deal that includes both tickets and DDP.

So yes, purchase your tickets totally separately, any way you want.

If you want to use the DDP be sure to call MS and tell them I think at least 3-days in advance. You cannot just 'add' it when you check-in.

You pay for the DDP with cash, when you do check-in.

As long as you're staying on points, you just add the DDP to your reservation by calling MS at least 48 hrs before check in. Tickets are completely seperate. It's a DVC perk that the DDP is available without being part of a package.

As Caskbill mentioned, you pay for the DDP at check in (cash or credit card)
