DDP and Morocco

Has anyone used the DDP in the Marrakesh Restaurant? I was wondering about the Marrakesh Royal Feast - are you able to order that instead of an appetizer, entree and desert?

I know you will get many responses from others that say they were allowed the feast, but we were not. We were told we could only have it if everyone in our party ordered it (which makes no sense as it is preplated). Not everyone wanted it, so we couldn't order it for those that did. Then when it came time for dessert we were told "DDP can only have pastries". Again many others will post saying that they were allowed any dessert, but we were not. Moral of the story: if you are told no to the Feast, ask your server to check with someone else....

DH ordered the "Feast" for himself without any problem last Dec. But I would still ask the waitstaff before ordering, just in case if that has changed since then. However, I don't see why not. It would have cost much more if you order everything seperately.

Thanks. We have never used the DDP before - it is the uncertainty that makes me uncomfortable.

My ex and I both ordered it last Sept (during the free dining period), while my mom ordered the lamb. When we asked, the waiter gave us a surprised look and said 'of course, why not'. We were only allowed a baklava sampler for dessert though (and yes we each got our own assortment), while my mom could order whatever she wanted.

We went in Nov 2006. My DH and I ordered the feast but did not get a major selection of deserts. I have been to Marrakesh in 1997 and in 2006 and was not disappointed either time.
