DDP and DVC Member Perks

Maybe this should be on the Dining Forum, but it's specific to DVC.
If I purchase the DDP and eat somewhere that offers a Member Perk discount, can I combine the two, and use the MP towards app/salad/soup? Has anyone asked about this and what was the answer?

You can use a discount towards any items not covered by the dining plan. If you have a TiW card, that discount would also include alcohol.

Only toward the items not included with the DDP and at applicable locations and times.

Just take note, though, that some of the DVC discounts only apply to entrees.

This is the case at both Rainforest Cafe locations, T-Rex, and Yak & Yeti.
