Do you think they will let you swap an dessert for an appetizer on the new plan?

We had a post awhile back from someone who works at WDW who said this will absolutely not be allowed under any circumstances, but they might permit swapping an entree for an appetizer.

:sad2:

The food cost is not the point of the elimination of the appetizer, IMO. The real point of that change is to eliminate one course of the meals, and thereby greatly increase turnover.

If they allow people to swap, Mom will order an appetizer, Dad will order a dessert, and they'll split both and stay at the table all night.

Hmm.. I never thought of that...:goodvibes
We are usually in such a hurry to eat and get out to the parks, that this perspective never crossed my mind... but I like it :worship:

I think your right, that is exactly what we would have done! ;)

I am not a big fan of dessert, however I really enjoyed having appetizers on the plan. Most of the time the desserts went in carry out boxes and eaten later in the room.

I think the real reason is that too many people were sharing credits by using the appetizer as an entree. People were basically getting twice as many TS meals by doing this.

hmmm, there wasn't a single appetizer that was large enough to make a meal out of IMHO, we did sit downs at Coral Reef, Le Celliar, Concourse Steak, Rose and Crown, Cindy's Royal Table to name a few, and although they were good, the portions were not generous... where might we go to find larger portions.
(I have stated before, I am 5 ft and 110 lbs and do not find there is too much food, I almost always leave the plate CLEAN! I need energy to keep up with my two little ones) Other than buffets. :goodvibes
