Hi-

How do we (or Disney) handle two families sharing one room on the DDP? We would like our credits seperate from them but is that possible? What do large families do that share villas?

Thanks

All I can say is good luck. We had 11 people in our group of family and friends It was a huge pain to keep track of the credits. At one point some of our group intended to go to Wolfgang Puck Express to spend CS credits. They were total Disney newbies and by mistake went to Wolfgang Puck Restaurant. They didn't realize the mistake until they were at a point that they had ordered and couldn't leave. They ended up unintentionally spending 6 TS credits that we hadn't budgeted for.

I complained to one restaurant manager about how hard it is to keep track of credits with a large group. He agreed.

All I can say is good luck.

Thanks for the information. We were hoping to share the BCV with another family since the kids are the same age. I am sure most of the meals will be done together, especially the ADR but it's the counter service and snacks that I worry about. Well, not actually worry but would find it easier to have two seperate cards for tracking. I thought I had read somewhere that people have had them seperated but maybe I was dreaming since I cannot get the search function to bring up anything to back up my idea.

Thanks again. If anyone has other ideas, please speak up!

one room, one reservation, one set of meal credits... both families will have to be on the "honor system" not to spend the other's credits...

what you may be remembering is the reverse... one family, two rooms, two reservations, two sets of meal credits... it can get quite confusing then!

Well, I know that they made our children's cards so they couldn't charge dinner on them. So when you check in, perhaps you could ask if 3 adults 2 children on one adult card and 2 adults and 3 children(or however your families are divided) on another card. It wouldn't hurt to ask. Since they can make it no charging or not charging and I think they type in there how many adults and such, I don't see why they couldn't do it. But if they will or not is another matter. But I would ask when you check in.
