OK, I got my AP's ordered off the Disney Ticket Store and have my will call #. The DDE CM tells me I need to e-mail them my information and they will get back to me, why can't they just take it over the phone.

Has anyone done this recently??? I guess I need to call back b/c now I have misplaced the e-mail address :headache:

Anyone have any advice?

If you want to order the DDE, you really need to give the DDE CM the number off the back of an actual AP / PAP or an actual voucher. Will call really isn't sufficient. I'm surprised the DDE CM even offered to do something for you. The Dining CM will have to somehow look up your ticket transaction and get the numbers off of the voucher/pass that is waiting for you at will call. That could take some time and I imagine it is a bit tricky to match up the email confirmation with the actual transaction. The CM may not be able to go off line for that long or may have to give the info to someone else to research.

My advice is to have the email in front of you and then to call ticket services. There should be a number for that on your email. Explain that you need the numbers off the back of a voucher to order the DDE and ask (ever so sweetly - they don't necessarily like to do this - it takes a bit of extra time & work) if they can help. You will get the numbers you need. Then call the DDE CM back and order the DDE.

Another option is to wait until you pick up your AP. Then call DDE and ask them to send a temp DDE card to Guest Relations at the EPCOT main entrance. You can pick up the card after about 5:30 pm. Of course if you arrive too late on Friday or the weekend, you wouldn't be able to get your card until Monday.

Hope some of that helps. Good luck.

Carol,

Thanks so much for the advice, I will give them a call tomorrow.

I bout my AP through MS and then they transferred my to the DDE people and confirmed I purchased it and the were able to go thruough with the DDE transaction. The DDE people even held my transaction a few days in order to have my AP and DDE to expire around the same time. Everyone was super helpful. I don't know if it helps you but it may help someone looking at this thread.

Depending on when your trip is, you may want to wait to order your DDE. If you are purchasing the DDE well in advance of your trip, you could be cheating yourself out of having the DDE for one more trip.

Your AP will not be activated until you use it the first time, but the DDE card is not like that. The DDE card has a set start and end date, which is about 13 months from the date the card is manufactured. :confused3

The DDE CM will be able to give you the exact expiration date when you order the card, and if you are within a few days of getting another month, they may well tell you to wait and call back later.

As Carol said, you can wait until the last minute and pick a temporary card up at Guest Services at Epcot. You just have to order the card Mon-Fri, but you can pick it up on the weekend.
