Hello all. Going to use my new points in 10 days!:cool1:

Planning a no major frills trip, and thought we would break away from the feeding frenzy the DDP has provided too many times, and try the DDE card. Couldn't find much about it, even on the member sight.

Anyone have a direct link?

Is it easy to use, what kind of restaurants accept it? TS only? Counter? I do remember they are useful with adult beverages. I would remember that part.:rotfl:

Thanks!

The DDE is not a DVC perk, it is available to DVC members only if you are an Annual Passholder or Florida Resident. Info is available on the Annual Passholder site.

Virtually all Disney operated TS places take the DDE, and the CS places in AK and the value resorts.

Here is a link to some info: DDE Restaurant List

In addition to the restaurants in that link, DDE is also good at Raglan Road. And you get free valet parking when you eat at the hotel restaurants.

Oh, right. We will be buying the AP, and since this is all new to us, I'm meshing all the perks into each other. Thank you for the link. I will check it out right now.:cool1:

Hmmm. I'm glad I checked. I was told by a fellow AP holder and family member the 20% off card was for more CS than shown here. We were trying to do and econo-trip and do a bunch of CS sharing with a discount.

Oh well.

Which fourum likes to discuss cheap eats?

Thanks again!

We would get the DDE for sure if they were accepted at more CS. Between the price increase and the fact that we are only 2 adults, the DDE is something that we don't just automatically buy.

I would try the Budget Board or the Disney Restaurants board.

But remember the original purpose of the DDE was not for a "general discount" at all dining venue for the average guest. Until 2 years ago, the DDE was available ONLY to Florida residents as an incentive to spend that business meeting or special occasion (Birthday, graduation, whatever) at a Disney full service restaurant rather than other local restaurants, or to bring their out of town guests to Disney for the Hoop-De-Doo.

Although not as extensive we some pretty good discounts just using our DVC member card, loads of 10% discounts as well as some good 20% off resturants. Check the list before you decide to get the DDE. Depending on your plans it may be good enough DW and I use our member discount all the time.
