DDE Use At Value Resort

We're staying at POP for 13 nights and are considering purchasing the DDE. POP's food court is listed as participating in DDE. Does anyone know if the 20% discount at value food courts with the DDE is just for meals or would it also apply to snacks, drinks, 1/2 gallon milk, etc.?

It applies to everything in the food court (with the exception of the refillable mugs)...well worth the money to get the card if you plan on eating sit down meals at the parks and breakfast/snacks at POP.

I encourage you to get the DDE We've had it for several trips and stay at the ASMo where we seem to use it constantly. Most if not all of the ADRs we do are at DDE participating eateries and for a family of 4, we save around $300 per trip--since I timed our 2008 trip to come in during our DDE that I purchased before the 2007 trip, we save the enrollment fee too this trip. PLUS this plan doesn't encourage the dreaded "overeating" syndrom in that you don't have a set amount of courses to order WDW June 20th HERE WE COME

We bought ice cream cones almost every evening and we saved another two dollars on that snack.....We were at All Star Movies and had most of our breakfasts there as well as an occasional lunch or dinner ....snacks were purchased there and loved our discounts all around

Thanks so much for all the input. We just purchased APs and I understand the cost is $60 if you an AP. There is only 2 of us. We're staying for 13 nights in August and have 5 TS meals planned. We're planning on returning next year in August before our APs expire. How long is the DDE good for? Is it for one TRIP or one YEAR? If I purchase it now, when would it start?

It starts at the time of purchase and it is good for one year. Remember, the DDE will automatically add the gratuity, including at food courts, ect.

I'll be picking mine up when I get our AP's becasue I want that DDE to be good for both vacations I have planned. Don't order it too early and remember you can now get thme at guest services while you are there so you can have both things expire at the same time.

I just purchased our APs from our local Disney Store....so I can purchase DDE at the same place I turn in our AP vouchers?

All Star Movies did not charge gratuity ....only your ts restaurans....Last year we used our DDE at Port Orleans French Quarter....it is a great discount....we picked up our dde with our voucher for ap at Guest Relations.....remember to bring yuor photo id or drivers license.....I messed up one day and had to wait to get the DDE card....my husband told the guy that he wouldnt pay that much for an AP if I wasnt his wife.......ROFL.....I did get one that day and next day got the dde card.....
Our card is good for one year and one month.....we got it the first part of May and its good thru June......hope I got that right?...

Remember, the DDE will automatically add the gratuity, including at food courts, ect.

No gratuity is expected or added at counter service, even those that accept DDE. The only exception is Coronado Springs' Pepper Market, which adds a 10% gratuity. DDE can't be used there. DDE members WILL get an 18% gratuity added at bars and lounges.

The DDE can be used at all counter service restaurants at the Animal Kingdom park, except for the Yak & Yeti CS.

No, only the values and POFQ. Generally DDE is good at counter service where there is no full service restaurant available.

Although SSR and AK recently added full service restaurants, the DDE is still good at their counter service locations, but not at any others.

Also, remember that there are 8 blackout dates, usually major holidays, where you can't use DDE at all.
