DDE Restaurants participation question

Do restaurant sign up each year to participate in the DDE plan?

I am planning on obtaining a DDE card in December for our January trip and I would hate to see some of our favorite restaurant withdrawing from participation.

This is our second year of having DDE and the only change I can recall is that Wolfgang Puck Cafe no longer participates so I would not worry about any dramatic differences.

There is wordage to the effect that it is subject to change at any time. But I don't think a change would necessarily be at the beginning of a calendar year. WPC wasn't as I recall.

If your favorite restaurants are ones that are owned and operated by WDW, then no worries at all I would think.
