DDE renewal question

We are going to be renewing our APs and DDE. I have read that AP renewals are to be done within a 30 day window of the expiration date to receive the discounted price. Well, our next trip is 30 days from that date. Will there be enough time to receive our new card?

If anyone has experience with the renewal process I would appreciate any info. I know the original card took awhile to get to us. Hopefully the renewals move a little faster.;)

You can pick-up a temp card at EPCOT guest relations. You can order one while you are there and get the temp at EPCOT

It takes the same amount of time to get a renewal card as it does to get the first card. They realize this and are very good at getting the temporary card to the Epcot Guest Relations area for people.

There is really no advantage to renewing your DDE card as opposed to just buying a new one BTW. But if you will need a new one for your trip, why not call with plenty of time to receive it. It does take 3-4 weeks. Or do the Epcot pickup.

As for the AP, the anniversary date stays the same. You won't get an extra 30 days.

Thanks for the info! I will probably call DDE and see if I can go ahead and order another card. If not, then I will do the Epcot pick up.

I hadn't really thought about it until I went to renew our APs and the passholder site said that it can't be done until 30 days before expiration.
