Hi all,

We're a little more than a month out for our trip 1/2-1/7. The group will include myself, DW, DD8, DD6, DS3.5 and my mom so that we have a 1:1 adult/child ration on the trip. My DW and I will also be visiting 12/4-12/9/2006 for our 10th anniversary. Technically, it's our 11th, but we just don't think DS would be ready for both mommy and daddy being away for that long this year.

In any case, I have an AP voucher to activate when we get to WDW on 1/2, and various old unused park hopper days for the rest of the group in January. Given that we'll be a group of 6, I thought a DDE membership would likely more than pay for itself.

All that said, can I purchase the DDE now and have it last to cover this coming trip and the one next December 2006? Do I need to wait until this December to order? If I wait, will the DDE membership be processed quickly enough for me to get my card before we get into our car Jan. 1 for the drive down?

You can order it now. It will be valid for both of your Dec. trips.

I ordered my DDE card only about 10 days before my trip. I had to go to Guest Relations at Epcot (outside of the gate) and they gave me a temporary card to use when I arrived.

I would order it on Dec 1st so your expiration date will be Dec 31, 2006. You should have time to get your card but if not you can pickup a temporary one at Guest Relations in Epcot.

But if you order it after the fifth workday of a month it will be good until the last day of the following month a year away (almost 13 months).

As long as you have the AP Voucher Number you can order it.

I got the cards 3 weeks after I ordered them. I was told it would be close since we were leaving on October 29th but I could pick up temporary ones at Epcot. We were a large group and we saved a lot of money with the card.

Get the card it will save you. :Pinkbounc

I love that card!!! We dine in packs, we own a 6 bed 5 bath rental home so when we go down we bring family and friends so the card comes in handy. One meal at OHana's saved us $106.
