DDE Question

I was considering the DDE and have a question. We typically use the Disney Dining Plan during our vacations and always end up adding extras to our meals such as an appetizer and/or alcoholic beverages. Can I use a DDE card to receive a discount on those "extra" items I have added to my meal? It seems logical that I could because I receive a separate bill for those extra items ordered which are not included in the Basic Dining Plan.

We did without problem --except at Planet Hollywood, but they gave it to us anyways after telling them that we had done this the entire trip and this was our last meal of the tirp :confused3 . DS was 10 and didn't always want the "adult" meals, so we payed OOP for kid meals for him (saving the adult TS credit) When the seperate bill came for his meal, we used our DDE and got the 20% off on his meal, plus anything else that we had ordered.

Yes you can use the DDE card for those items.. Keep in mind there will be a mandatory 18% added to those items as well on the bill for gratuity.

I'm assuming the 18% gratuity will be calculated for the extra items purchased, not the dining plan items.

Yes, but remember that you will also need to pay the gratuity for the DDP items. It is no longer included.
