After 3 days' of meals, the DDE card paid for itself! It was totally terrific!
Day 1: Ohana. We had a PS for 1900 Buffet, but the traffic was awful and missed it (we called and there wasn't any other times). I must say that Ohana was MUCH better than last year (maybe we were starved too tho!) Saved over $18 with DDE. B+
Day 2: MK day. Breakfast at Poly Concierge -- just enough to keep you going, and it was free! A- Noodle place in Tomorrowland for lunch. Just ok, but a good change - B-/C+ Changed our PS from GF Cafe to 1900 for dinner. Character interaction was good (Can I say Cindy looked a bit heavy???) Food was plentiful, but nothing special. Had the strawberry soup. It was good (better on the Wonder). B Saved over $18 here too with DDE.
Day 3: Epcot day. Ate some breakfast at Poly Concierge (DH didn't want to overdo since he was going on Mission:Space). Lunch at Chefs de France. VERY good. A Saved about $20 here too. Had the special lunch (Croque Monsieur, Onion soup and Creme Brulee). The Creme was great! The service was good too. Dinner at Bistro (a French theme today.) This is my fave restaurant and they didn't disappoint. Everything was quite good. Had the chocolate souffle. Really delish - tho the one at Palo's on the Wonder was slightly better. Saved over $30 on DDE (had drinks). A/A+
Day 4: MGM day. Went on Tower and Rock n Roller Coaster, so ate at Starring Rolls after. Food was good, but really expensive! Lunch at Commissary. Nothing special. I can't remember if they took DDE - I think they did. Hamburger was fine. Dinner at Wolfgang Pucks Upstairs. Very diverse menu. MY DD and DH liked their food better than me (I had a duck and noodle thing). DH had a shrimp something and DD had the veal. A nice change. Service was excellent. B+ Saved at least $25 here with DDE.
Day 5: Stayed at Beach Club, no parks. Breakfast at Fresh. Good, but expensive. Had the DVC discount (thank God!) Had a salad from Publix for lunch. Dinner at Yachtsmen. Waiter remembered us (and we hadn't been back in at least 3 years!) I wasn't too excited to come back since my Prime Rib last time was bad, but this time, everything was quite good. This is my DH's fave place. Saved over $35 in DDE (had drinks). A- Would definitely good back. (I probably should have sent the meal back the year it was bad).
Day 6: Ate breakfast in room. Had things to do since we're moving to FL! Lunch at TGIF Fridays. Nothing special. Dinner PS was for Flying Fish, but it started to storm so I made it for Cape May since we were already in the hotel. OK buffet. Some stuff was cold. I thought there was a better selection in the past, but... B-/C+ It cost $80 total with the DDE discount (around $14 I think). I don't think we'll go back...
All-in-all, good meals mostly. We all gained about 4 lbs each (and I have been furiously dieting since Sept. It's my fault since I had lots of desserts - mostly creme brulee, my fave.)
Any questions???
Hope you liked my critique!
