DDE & Fantasmic Pkg.

When I was down there in Janaury I used the e-mail from Rosa Flores at Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic Pkg. The waiter had to take the letter and my AP to show his manager, but we got it without a problem. When I got back, I read where some people were able to use it and some were not (at all three Fanstasmic restaraunts). I called yesterday for PS for the Mama Melrose Fantasmic pkg for my May trip and specifically asked if DDE could be used. I was told no. Why not? The DDE 'cannot be used in combination with any other discount', but you don't get a discount when you get the Fantasmic pkg. You are paying the same as anyone who just goes into the restaraunt and orders the same meal without getting the little piece of paper that gets you into Fantasmic.

It can't be used on packages like this or CP.

This is the rules that cast members must abide by when getting their dining discount. No discount on packages. I don't see any problem with making DDE holders go by the same rules. I couldn't understand the logic the first time I heard it, since we get the discount on the meal, why not still get the discount on the meal and just pay for the perk. No! bottom line!

Some people have been able to use it, so I would say it doesn't hurt to ask when you are there....but I wouldn't count on it.
