Dde Discount Good For 6 Or 10???

Maybe I got things mixed up, but when I first applied for the Disney Dining Experience Discount Card, I thought the discount was good for up to 10 people in the party. The letter that came with the actual card states the discount is good for parties of 6. Hmmmmmmmmmm????

I think it was originally good for 6 and then changed to 10, but they haven't updated the letter yet. We were at WDW in January, our friends had a DDE card. There were 11 of us, 8 adults and 3 children, and they gave us the discount on the entire bill every time.

Your letter is probably dated January 2004, my understanding is that the updated letter (January 2005) that they are now including states 10.

It looks like they can't make their minds up.

I received the 'revised January 2005' letter with my DDE card and it says 'UP TO 9 PEOPLE'.

I posted the other day that I had used it in January at Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic Pkg. After reading some people had been able to use it for the Fantasmic Pkg and some had been refused, I asked the CM the other day when I made PS at Mama Melrose for my May trip. I was told no, that the DDE did not include the Fantasmic Pkg. He then turned around and told me it wouldn't hurt to ask though, since some had honored it.

My letter said the card would expire January 2006, but when I got my card the expiration date on it was March 2006. I've read where people who ordered it in early January (like me) have expiration dates of Jan 31, 2006, February 28, 2006, and March 31. 2006.

yep, i ordered mine three weeks before our late January trip. I used the letter as the cards had not come in. When the cards came today, it has an expiration of 2/06 and a letter attached with the names of the participating resturants and that the discount applies to SIX in the party. I sure hope it is for 10. That is what I thought when I purchased it.

msmouse, I ordered in January too and just received our cards yesterday. On the letter right under the words "Participating Restaurants," it says revised Ja. "04. The letter says six people but all reports have been 10.

Now 9 though....that is new!

It has only been on the Dis I have heard 10 guests allowed. But as someone once mentioned, members are not notified of changes. So there really isn't any reason I would know exactly the number allowed if it has changed from 6.
I have used my card for up to 6, but not more. So I cannot say from personal experience.

Got my card the other day. The letter(revised Jan 2005) that came with it states"up to 9 people". Go figure.....
