DDE discount at CRT

I made reservations for CRT for December and was charged full price on my credit card and I was told to show my DDE card when I checked in, does this sound right? When I show them my card in December, I guess they would credit my credit card back for the difference?

I made a reservation for CRT and was charged full price. I called and told them I had the DDE card and they credited the money back to my credit card.
