DDE Card?

What is the current lead time when ordering to receiving card. It used to be 2 months. Is it quicker?

I have read 4 - 6 weeks. The closer you are to PA, the faster you get it. PA is where they produce the DDE. 8 weeks would be good for lead time, this way you'll have the DDE before you go - and not have any worry

If you don't receive it in time, ask about picking up a temporary card. We did this when we went in July. We bought our APs on Thursday at DTD, picked up a temporary card at Epcot Guest Services the next afternoon and then used the card all day Saturday and Sunday.

I ordered ours in late july/early august and got it in under 3 weeks. And it was worth EVERY penny when we were at Disney in august.

I just ordered mine last week. They said it would take about 2-3 weeks before I receive it and it will expire 10/31/06.

Well I called to order the card at lunch and this is what happened.

I told the CM that I wanted to order a DDE card with my AP voucher. She said no problem in reguards to the AP voucher. She then asked me when we were going to WDW. I told her December 11th. She then told me that I should wait till November 8th to order my card that way the expiration date will through the first of the year. I think I'll order it about a week earlier than that.

bottom line is that I didn't order it today and I'll get it in 5 to 6 weeks. Closer to our trip.
