DDE card????

Silly question maybe, but what is the DDE card ? I keep reading about it, wondering if it is something we might be able to use on our upcoming trip. Thanks for the help!

DDE=disney dining experience card. it is for florida residents(75$) or AP holders(50$). it can be used on quite a few park/resort restaurants. and it seems to pay for itself after several uses. it expires in a year; so, it is not a forever thing. http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm here is a link w/more info.

Can someone with an AP buy the DDE and give it to some one else to use??

I think I read somewhere that you also have to show the AP at the same time you present the DDE card. I'm sure there are places that don't ask, but just in case . . .

No, the person whose name is on the card must be present to recieve the discount.

When purchasing the DDE card they asked for my AP information, but at the parks I was ask several times for my ID with my DDE letter. So I would say no, someone else could not use it. But when you order it, you can request a second person added to the DDE provided they are an immediate family member, and reside at the same address.

We are going in November. If I order my first AP online before the trip, is there any way to get the DDE?

The CM told me that the AP would not be "activated" until I arrived at the resort, so how can I order the Dining Card for this trip if the DDE takes 6-8 weeks to arrive?

I'm SO Confused! Planning this trip is like having a full-time job in a country where you barely can speak the language!

Yes, you can order the DDE with your AP vouchers. They will ask you for a string of numbers on the back, but you certainly can do it!

My Disney Store no longer sells Ap vouchers. I had planned on getting one for our trip in June. If I buy a AP pass at WDW, can I get the DDE at that time?

DDE office is open M-F 9-5 Est so if you arrive at that time you can call them after you get your AP and they will fax the note to your hotel. I can't do that since I am coming on a Saturday so I will need to do it in advance.
