We have WDW annual passes that we activated in December. If we buy a DDE card today, how long will it be valid?

DDE is good for a full year from when you buy it. The only connection to the AP is that you have to have an AP when you buy DDE.

I love my DDE! It is one of the best bargains at WDW, since you get 20% off food and drinks (including the alcoholic-type).

If you were to order your DDE card today, April 21, it would expire at the end of May, '08. But if you were to have ordered it on April 8, it would expire end of April '08. If you order your card past the middle of the month, you actually get a more time out of it. I have had DDE reps tell me to call back in a week in order to do that.

Not sure of the precise timing, but we ordered ours on April 4 2007 and it will expire at the end of May 2008. The CM's at the DDE phone desk will be able to give you the expiration date--just ask before you actually order.

And it takes 3-5 weeks to get it. I just ordered mine on Friday.

You have to provide either a voucher number or AP number. If you just ordered your voucher, it should get there in about a week. You can fax your order to DDE and then it will come in 3-5 weeks.

I have a DDE and it is well worth the fee that they charge for it. In addition to 20% off on all meals at TS restaurants, if you have an ADR at a resort restaurant, the valet parking at that resort is free. All you have to do is show the valet your DDE card when you pick up your car. In the first year that we had the DDE, DH and I saved almost $350!

We are arriving this year on 9 july ( 11 weeks today ) and next year 15 june both will be for 3 weeks .Could someone tell me when is the best time to order our DDE we have already bought our APS but not activated them.

The DDE is $60/year for Annual Pass holders (it's only available to Annual Pass holders and Florida residents). I've never used the DDP so I don't know if it is a better deal or not. I do that when we first got our DDE card, we just about saved the then $50 fee during that one 9 day trip.

It takes 4-6 weeks, but if you are going to WDW sooner than that, they will have a letter stating that you are a DDE card member that you can pick up at EPCOT's customer service desk.

It really does take 4-6 weeks.

Thanks... We are going from June 15-29. I am looking to order it around mid-May. I would like to use it next mid-June 08 as well, so I'm waiting as long as I can to cover both trips. Do they give extra time for the expiration date as well? Pick up is only at EPCOT?

I don't know about the expiration date.

If you are picking up the letter at WDW, it is only at Epcot.
