DDE card arrived today!

Yippee! It took it the advised 6-8 weeks to get here, ordered the last week in January, charge showed up on March 1. Postmarked March 11 from Lehigh PA. Good through 3/31/06. Be advised: the card says you must show a FL. Drivers License. I called DDE and they said that was being disregarded now, but she did offer to send out new cards that don't mention that. I told her we'd wait and see if I had a problem on April 1. It took too long to get these!

I ordered mine the second week in Feb. I was hoping to have it by this week - we leave Saturday for WDW. Oh well, the orint out of the e-mail works.

The email works fine. We used it for our trip the first of February. I actually had Rosa email me a new letter for this trip just in case. Of course for the first trip I actually left the darned letter at home and wound up calling DDE as we were driving the Turnpike. She was kind enough to fax a copy to the Yacht Club for me.

It should be there in the next day or two. My account was debited 3/1. If you're close to PA maybe even tomorrow. THe envelope actually has DDE on it.

Mine came today! Ordered on 1/24, charged on 3/2. Used the temporary e-mail 2 weeks ago with no problem. Good thing I did take an extra copy because I left the original e-mail at Boma, they put it in the bill folder after it's approved.

Isn't it funny the little things that excite us? I was going through the mail, the envelope looked like junk mail until I read the name - DISNEY'S DINING EXPERIENCE!!!!

It looks like the only way you can tell it's coming is when the charges to your back account hit and then it's like 10 days latewr...TADA!! it's there.

I ordered mine on March 3rd and I leave May 10th. I hope I get mine in time. The paper they send me expires before we leave...

I'm waiting for my AP to arrive (ordered Thurs 3/10), we leave 8 weeks from today and I plan to order the DDE as soon as my
AP arrives ( I feel like I'm talking in some ancient code here..............)
Just for clarification, if my DDE does not arrive pronto 123 before my anticipated AP vacation 5/10/05--the resort can request a confirmation of my DDE upon my check in....right? now, will I have to carry around a paper fax my entire trip, or will my resort somehow code it to my room key????

carry the fax. In fact make more than one copy. Bracho, if your letter has an expiration date of before you leave call them now and tell them when your trip is scheduled for. They actually sent me one for my upcoming trip just so I'd be safe.

DH's comment when I called him at work yesterday to tell him yippee the cards had arrived: IT's about time! Even clueless men realize that that is a long time to wait!

Just an FYI - they might be "catching up" to the demand. I just ordered my card yesterday, and it looks like the charge has already hit my account. I got the e-mail this morning with a "valid through" date of 4/30/05, which will cover my April trip with no problem.

For those wondering out there (I know I was yesterday!), the current expiration date on the DDE's they're processing right now looks to be 4/30/06.

I just got off the phone with Rosa, and she promptly sent me the email to use during our upcoming trip. I had ordered the card on February 8th, and she said that our cards wouldn't arrive before our trip on April 2. She was very professional, and I told her that everyone knows how backed up they are since they opened the program up to AP holders! So, if anyone needs the cards by the beginning of April, it'd be wise to call and have the email or faxed letter sent!

You can also go to the passholder website and print the form and fax or mail it to them.

I called (407) 566-5858. Hit 3 after the spiel starts, then hit 1 immediately. This was a hint from another DISer, and it worked great for me this afternoon. Got through to Rosa herself immediately! I felt like I was speaking with a celebrity! Don't forget to have your charge card handy, as well as your AP or AP voucher, since they'll need some numbers off of the back. If you're a FL Res, you don't need to have an AP to join, but it's $75, rather than the $50 for AP holders for the year.
