I booked our HDDR PS for Oct '06 before I called for our DDE card. And since we have PS for the late, 9:30, show, we can get the 20% off. Does anyone know how this can be handled? Since we gave our cc when the reservation was taken, how do we get the discount? I can't remember how we paid in August. I'm assuming that the cc given is just a 'what if' in case you don't show up and that we will pay the entire thing when we get there? Then, I can show my card and get the discount? Any thougths? Thanks a lot.

call back and ask. you might have to cancel and re-book. if that is the case, i would keep what i have as table assignments are made as reservations are made. the earlier the reservation, the better the chances you will be on the bottom floor. good luck! :earboy2:

When you book the HDDR you are charged the entire amount of the show when you book. So you have already paid for it. You need to call back and they will adjust your balance....probably cancel your first payment and charge your cc again. I just booked HDDR for a big group for September 05 and the entire amount has already showed up on my cc (just 2 days after booking). However, when you do book, they may ask you for the expiration date of your DDE card, since the PS for for 2006. When you pick up your tickets at your resort, or at Ft. Wilderness if you are not onsite, you will need to show the CM your DDE card. If you do not have proof of DDE membership your balance will be adjusted and you will not receive the discount. If you need to cancel your HDDR ressies, I believe that has to be done 48 hours before show day, in order to get a full refund.

I booked the HDDR late show and told her I would be getting the DDE card. She told me I would just show the card when I picked up my tickets. My credit card was charged with the discount already applied.

Well, I called and just got off the phone with Dining. The CM did check for me. Actually she left the line open, by accident I believe, and I listened in on her conversation with a manager. The manager was quite nice and very helpful. However, when the CM came back on the line to me, she told me exactly what the boss had told her. I couldn't apply DDE to a reservation in 2006 at this point. She said that they weren't sure what would be on the plan and what wouldn't. So, the suggestion was to call back late in the year, around Nov or Dec once the covered meals were decided upon. I did ask her if I was going to have to cancel the existing PS and she said that no, she wouldn't suggest that at all. To keep the one I have and if it was still 'on the plan' they would be able to apply the discount then.

It was actually encouraging to see a CM that wasn't sure go and double check, and admit she didn't know. Very refreshing. So, it looks like I'll be calling them in late Nov. But, if I pay $60 to renew the card and it saves me $40 right off the bat, then I'd be an idiot not to call!!

I also booked HDDR revue before I decided to get the DDE card. I called last week and was able to cancel my existing PS, and my CC card was credited within 24hrs, and rebook with the discount applied, but my trip is next month not at the end of the year.

:wave2: Hi all. We too have HDDR ressies. I have the DDE card, but wasn't aware that there was a discount for this show. Is it just the later 9:30 seating that has the discount? Leaving in just 5 days. Thanks

Yes only the 9:30PM HDDR show has the discounts, both DDE and CM. We have done this show many times (CM) and it seldom fills. The last time it was only about 25% full.

:goodvibes Thanks so much n2mm. I'll have to keep that in mind for next trip. My DD-6 would never be happy with dinner that late this time around.
:hourglass 3 more days!!! :thewave:
