DDE and DDP during same trip

Our next trip to WDW we are switching between two resorts for the stay. I have seen people posting and saying they were going to use their DDE for part of their trip and DDP for the other part.

I have DDE. We tend to only eat breakfast in our room, and do tend to go for table service every night.

Is there any advantage to get DDP for one segment of the trip and use DDE for the other?

Since we have APs, we can only use the DDP on the DVC part of our trip if we do decide to try it. For the non DVC part of the trip, we will be using DDE.

But if we do try the DDP during our DVC stay, I fully expect to use the DDE then as well for a bottle of wine or a second TS meal in a day (on average ie).
