Over on Faceplace I am seeing post after post about Disney Springs being open by the end of May and on the Disney blogs I follow. But I just don't see myself loading up the car or booking a flight down to hang at Disney Springs...

And no place to stay since the resorts aren't open...

Morning All,

Beautiful morning on top of Currie Mtn. Getting ready for a birthday drive-by for one of our soccer mates. We are all going to throw cans of beer at him as we drive by; first one to knock him out wins.

On tap today is finishing the painting in the family room, go for a run and then enjoy the rest of Sunday knowing tomorrow we celebrate some old Queen.

Churches are opening here Wednesday at 33% capacity with other precautions. Still no word on outdoor tennis courts.

I'm holding out for that one. Googled and that should be around 2265.

I'm hoping this is the precursor to parks opening. The challenge is going to be how to restrict the # of park guests. Shanghai Disney had people buy special COVID one day admission tickets. How will that go with all the AP holders? Someone wrote an article on DVC members, citing that we had more "rights" because of condo association laws. It will be an interesting wait for 2 months. Tik. Tik. Tik.

Afternoon guys from another scorcher over here. Seemed I missed a whole lot of chicken bothering from Doc. Not goin' to Popeye's with him any time soon.
Again, an epic fail on getting on the call last night.
Ran 20k this morning, so just shy of a half marathon. 2 runners highs for your reference Ponzie, 1 at 8 and another at 15. Feeling it now though, that's the furthest I've run in over 2 years, and me and the boys did a 10k yesterday, so I've got a sense that I won't be running tomorrow. Had some righteous Pulled Pork that I did on an 18hr cook over Friday night, and today we are using up the leftovers with some pulled pork hash, with a cheeky poached egg on the top.
Ma came over today and sat in our garden, came down the side of the house in line with government guidelines..may have had a few cheeky ones.

I guess the APs will have to book in like everyone else, if they have to book an entry time. I think everyone has to start to get that it's not gonna be the same for a little while. Some of the stuff you read on what people are expecting is just the ultimate in self entitlement.

A nap sounds good buddy. The thing with marathons is as you get into the training, you are supposed to completely replicate the race day experience. The WDW marathon starts at 0530. So it looks like I'll have a few early Sundays, maybe drop in on the zoom call halfway through my run .
I've seen your updates on the other place though, looks like you are getting into a proper rhythm there mate. You'll be up into 10 before you know it, and then its just mileage in your legs, as they just get used to it.

Its a delirium of sorts, in that your body just releases a ton of dopamine down your neck. Kinda like Jasmine blowing softly on your neck and whispering that it's time to visit the cave of wonder.

We were back today. It was good. i have missed being with everyone but it wasn't quite the same. Some stayed home and watched a live stream and that makes sense as they were mostly the elderly and those with infants. The rest of us split up between the main sanctuary and the fellowship hall to spread out more. Those that were comfortable with it were even shaking hands and hugging again. Hope you can get out on the courts soon. Maybe Andy will let you do it if you spread out over three courts!

Should be a quiet day. Family room is pretty much done, just some pictures to hang and furniture to move back is all that is really left to do. Beer can chicken going on the grill later today. I think today I will use a cajun rub and then wrap the bird in bacon.

I've told the ball an....err....DW, I have no intention of going when they open. Not a big DTD fan anyway...shopping just ain't my thing. When the parks open, not sure I want to be in close (enough) proximity to even 25% of tge normal crowd.
