Looks like things are opening up some. Restaurants at 30% capacity next week which will be too late for the 25th wedding anniversary but SWMBO doesn't want to go out with the new restrictions (only family at a table and have to give name and address so they can track all contacts).

Yeah, I saw that too. I'm guessing these newly added measures, which are nothing about prevention, are just designed for more government control to keep designated businesses closed longer.

Yep, it was a freebie from my in laws. We ate at V&As about 3 years ago, and I was telling the FIL about the coffee pot, and he said, "Hold on." Went to the back of his cupboard, they got the electric version (exactly the same, just an old school heating element instead of the meths) as a wedding gift 40 years ago, ad he gave it to me. All original, works a charm.

Well, on a totally different note, never thought I'd be a landlord, but looks like we may be renting our current house. Close on new house in 1 week. Have someone at work who just moved here for a new contract we got and she wants to rent the house. It wasn't really something I was planning, but then again...if I can get someone else to pay my mortgage and I'm still building equity in the house, then it makes sense. Also, since we've had this house only 1.5 years, not looking forward to paying closing costs all over again. I also wonder with this virus and so many people being out of work if selling now is a good time or not. Kinda like the stock market...hard to predict, but if you guess right, then can be a big payoff.

Truer words were never spoken. The pineapple upside down cake dole whip is the BOMB!!!

The hey hey cone isn't bad, but prefer the dole whip and pineapple upside down cake versions better.

I considered that as well, but others beat it out. I've mentioned this to a couple folks...the flavor of the one at AK is the best, but I prefer the texture (enjoy fluffy and doughy) of the one at Gaston's tavern. If they could combine the two, then that would be the perfect cinnamon roll.

If I had gotten one before they changed it, I probably would have included the carrot cake cookie at HS. I heard that was amazing and I love me some carrot cake. I tried it after they changed it an it was good, but not the same as what I'd heard about.

Come to think of it, honorable mention has to go to the cronut also. I didn't think I'd like it because I'm not a big croissant fan (see above about fluffy and doughy), but I really enjoyed it when I tried it.

If snacks at F&W count, the Smoked Corned Beef with Crispy Potatoes, Cheese Curds, Pickled Onions and Beer-Cheese Fondue at Flavors from fire was amazing and would probably be #2 or #3....hard to tell if it edges out brisket poutine.....probably a tie for 2nd.

It is. My name in such cases is John Doe, but unfortunately I lost my ID when all my guns fell in the river canoeing. Appalachia is an interesting place but as the world becomes more interesting I am liking it more and more.

1) Maybe I need to try it again. There are some things I didn't like when I was younger I like now, so who knows?
2) I figured @Cinderella's Fella would give me a hard time. Wasn't expecting it from you.

I did this with Bloody Mary's. I hated tomato juice when I was younger. I gave it another swing about 5 years ago. Now I love a bloody Mary.
