DCL officially cancelled our June sailing but still waiting for email so I can process refund. Stay safe and gonna take a day off on the Top WDW lists as I need to brain storm a bit more as running out of things that are worth a spit.

Some souvenirs from around here..........Light Saber replicas are DS from our past March trip and there's some DCL but what the heck

Hey DISDads,

I am ashamed to say that I haven't been on the boards in years. Mom died, Dad died, Dog died, and recently divorced. I NEED a Disney trip so I am praying that this Covid crap will be over soon. I definitely have to be at the next DDC convention. God bless you guys and continue to keep me in your prayers.
Welcome back and thanks, er a ...... whatever for starting this thing up I guess 8-) . Sorry to hear about the challenges you've dealt with.

No spitting! Not safe......covid.

Thursday? Who knows anymore. Good news is that Disney stores are also opening May 24 in addition to the non-Disney owned stores May 20 in Disney Springs. Extra janitorial CMs were added. Now, it's just a race to phase 2 if we can get there in July. As the death rate and hospitalization rate have declined in Georgia and Florida, it looks like they made the right decision to re-open.

The founder has returned. Good to see you. I think I joined in thread #2. Sorry to hear about your trials, and will certainly add you to my prayers.

You only said 3 pictures. But, you and I were the only ones to post pictures. I have lots of Disney pins, and most of them have a story - stayed in that resort, went to MNSSHP that year, extra "magical" moment, etc.

You've been through a lot in the time you were absent. I think you could use a hug.
Third, really interesting to see a Survivor logo on your shirt in the picture. We just had a discussion after I posted a picture of my buff on the previous page.
I thought the same thing. And speaking of Survivor... (next post)
Afternoon boys from future time. Lottery numbers for sale. No questions asked. My usual cut of the profits.
I'm a bit short on cash right now, so if you'd just do me a favour and buy one ticket and just take what I owe you out of the winnings when you send them. Thanks in advance. Appreciate it.
Absolutely slammed at work but there's always time for a bit of Disdaddery.
Busy here too today. But... yes.

Thoughts on last night's Survivor finale?

Spoilers if you've recorded it and haven't seen it yet, read no further.

I thought the right person won. Deserved, I felt.

Couldn't help but think that when Ben got home is DW said "You went and played for 39 days... and then you just toss the chance to win $2M out the window???"
Someone slept on the couch that night.

Was a little surprised that Michelle didn't get even one vote. Not a bad underdog story. Not all that surprised she didn't get a vote, too.
Thought it might be a bit closer than 12-4.

Guess Nat didn't make good enough friends when she was over with the rest of the jury.
While it makes a good story to be voted out first and then come back to win... I'm glad she didn't. I kinda felt a bit like... remember that woman who ran a marathon, but caught a bus or something in the middle of it? (ETA Rosie Ruiz. Caught the subway for the NYC marathon to qualify for the Boston marathon. Then cheated in Boston to win.) Did Nat work hard on Extinction? Absolutely. But did she have to struggle and vote and connive and win immunities to keep from getting voted out? Nope.

Not a problem my friend. Just whizz over them ol' bank details and your passwords, and I'll drop the funds right in and take my $2 out.

Yours in riches

Same as you on the Pins but these are DS's with a few of DD's mixed in. Mine are either something Irish / St Pats, America, or Fathers Day, greatest Dad ones

Morning Compadres. Beautiful day here this morning, so have gone back to my external office. Got a mug of Lavazza's finest out of my Cona "Viccy and Albert's" coffee maker. So not too shabby over this side of the Atlantic.

Have a great day all you cool cats and kittens....

Morning from a sunny but cool 0C Westfield NB. Just heading to work, going to be a short day, then start the long weekend. I had my second treatment yesterday afternoon, things are going well so far. Have a great weekend.

Totally agreed. He was always thinking, always working and working hard. Glad he was rewarded. His whole spy whatever thing is too cool. I can't understand why nobody else has ever done this. Good intel can make good decisions.

Couldn't help but think that when Ben got home is DW said "You went and played for 39 days... and then you just toss the chance to win $2M out the window???"

I was shocked too. Tony/Sarah/Ben had a lock on final 3 UNLESS one of the other 2 won immunity. Why would you do that? And why would Sarah actually take him up on it? She screwed herself. I really think she had a good shot if she hadn't done that.

Was a little surprised that Michelle didn't get even one vote. Not a bad underdog story. Not all that surprised she didn't get a vote, too.

Kinda what you said...I am, but I'm not. Yes, she was always on the bottom, but then again, she was never considered a threat so never voted out. Granted, she won immunity a couple times, but still, all in all, a mediocre player (IMHO).

Guess Nat didn't make good enough friends when she was over with the rest of the jury.

Again, we agree. For me, Natalie didn't really earn her spot back. She had 3 advantages and STILL almost lost. In my mind, the only real thing she did to "earn" her spot back in the game was perseverance on EoE to get the fire tokens, but then again, if she hadn't had a ton of fire tokens, she never would have made it back.

The four votes she got...
Jeremy - was pissed at Tony. Felt Tony betrayed him.
Tyson - Gave vote to her primarily (I think) because she gave him an idol on EoE
Parvati - I think on EoE, she also got buddy buddy with Natalie during on of the fire token extortion events
Ethan - Not sure. maybe when he was being helped by medical and she stopped...dunno. Maybe it was something she said at tribal that struck a chord with him. Again, dunno.

The other folks, in my mind, voted for Tony because they value the game and they value the players who do everything to make it to the end. Tony is a fighter and I felt he was justly rewarded. I was kinda shocked Nick and Adam voted for him because during the final tribal, it sounded like they were upset with him and personally, I kinda thought they were whiny babies.

I wonder if Tony, Sarah and Ben would have been the final three, what the vote would've been. I personally don't think Ben would have gotten much...he pissed too many people off and acted like a spoiled brat too many times when things didn't go his way. I honestly think it would have been close with Tony and Sarah. Especially after her speech at tribal. I really think a lot of folks respected her and thought she played a great game. The question would be if folks really thought Tony was running the show as Natalie said (personally I think that was a bald faced lie to get a fracture in the alliance) or if they saw enough from tribals to see they were a strong alliance.

Obviously, we could what if it to death, but will never know for sure.

Morning all.

It might be sunny down river Rob but here it is cloudy, going to be warm though so that's good.

Day 3 at the office and I think we have just about everything we need to officially open back up. Just need one plexiglass shield for one office and all will be ready.

Getting ready to start the long weekend which means finishing the painting I started in Tuesday.

Have a great day all.

Read a piece of an interview where Ben said he knew he wasn't going to win and didn't want to put himself through the stress of the jury given the difference in prize money between 3rd and 5th wasn't all that great.

While I can kinda understand that, he didn't necessarily have to worry about the stress of the jury either....very easy to just say I think Tony and Sarah played the better game, so vote for them. Easy peasy, no stress. ;)

I think he just wanted a shower, nice bed and food at Ponderosa. :lmao:

Spring has arrived here in Appalachia. Mid 60's F (~upper teens C) to low 80's (mid 20ish C) with mostly sunny. We are in a wet weather pattern which is bad for field work but good for being stuck at the computer which is where I really should be. I've made some progress on projects that had been in the "to do" pile for too long.

Looks like things are opening up some. Restaurants at 30% capacity next week which will be too late for the 25th wedding anniversary but SWMBO doesn't want to go out with the new restrictions (only family at a table and have to give name and address so they can track all contacts).

Glad to hear that the treatments are going well. Continued prayers for you and your team.

Morning folks.
Contemplated taking the bike to work this a.m.... and then saw 1. thick fog (like riding in the rain. Not fun.) and 2. The temp was 0C/32F.
Car it is.

Do you mean you have one of these?

Same here. Supposed to be really nice for the May long weekend, though. Temps we haven't seen since September.
I had my second treatment yesterday afternoon, things are going well so far.
Good to hear! Hope that continues!

::yes::
His whole spy whatever thing is too cool.
Well... it was pretty silly the first times when he did it. He got caught, or didn't get any intel because no one showed up. But this time? It paid off big time!

I didn't see that but did read it.

Good point.
Jeremy - was pissed at Tony. Felt Tony betrayed him.
He was my least liked player in the whole game.
Tyson - Gave vote to her primarily (I think) because she gave him an idol on EoE
::yes::
Parvati - I think on EoE, she also got buddy buddy with Natalie during on of the fire token extortion events
Ah! Yeah, that's probably it.
The other folks, in my mind, voted for Tony because they value the game and they value the players who do everything to make it to the end.
And I like that. For a while, early on, it seemed like the most liked player, not the best player, was winning. I didn't like that.
I personally don't think Ben would have gotten much...he pissed too many people off and acted like a spoiled brat too many times when things didn't go his way.
Interesting. And maybe? Hard to say since you only see what the producers want you to see.
Obviously, we could what if it to death, but will never know for sure.
Yep.
But I'm pretty sure Tony will win. Oh! Wait! He did! I was right!

Nice! So glad to see things returning slowly to "normal". There will still be pockets of infections, but... this is a very encouraging sign.
