Thoughts on last night's Survivor finale?

I thought the right person won. Deserved, I felt.
Totally agreed. He was always thinking, always working and working hard. Glad he was rewarded. His whole spy whatever thing is too cool. I can't understand why nobody else has ever done this. Good intel can make good decisions.
Couldn't help but think that when Ben got home is DW said "You went and played for 39 days... and then you just toss the chance to win $2M out the window???"
Someone slept on the couch that night.
I was shocked too. Tony/Sarah/Ben had a lock on final 3 UNLESS one of the other 2 won immunity. Why would you do that? And why would Sarah actually take him up on it? She screwed herself. I really think she had a good shot if she hadn't done that.
Was a little surprised that Michelle didn't get even one vote. Not a bad underdog story. Not all that surprised she didn't get a vote, too.
Thought it might be a bit closer than 12-4.
Kinda what you said...I am, but I'm not. Yes, she was always on the bottom, but then again, she was never considered a threat so never voted out. Granted, she won immunity a couple times, but still, all in all, a mediocre player (IMHO).
Guess Nat didn't make good enough friends when she was over with the rest of the jury.
While it makes a good story to be voted out first and then come back to win... I'm glad she didn't. I kinda felt a bit like... remember that woman who ran a marathon, but caught a bus or something in the middle of it? (ETA Rosie Ruiz. Caught the subway for the NYC marathon to qualify for the Boston marathon. Then cheated in Boston to win.) Did Nat work hard on Extinction? Absolutely. But did she have to struggle and vote and connive and win immunities to keep from getting voted out? Nope.
Again, we agree. For me, Natalie didn't really earn her spot back. She had
3 advantages and
STILL almost lost. In my mind, the only real thing she did to "earn" her spot back in the game was perseverance on EoE to get the fire tokens, but then again, if she hadn't had a ton of fire tokens, she never would have made it back.
The four votes she got...
Jeremy - was pissed at Tony. Felt Tony betrayed him.
Tyson - Gave vote to her primarily (I think) because she gave him an idol on EoE
Parvati - I think on EoE, she also got buddy buddy with Natalie during on of the fire token extortion events
Ethan - Not sure. maybe when he was being helped by medical and she stopped...dunno. Maybe it was something she said at tribal that struck a chord with him. Again, dunno.
The other folks, in my mind, voted for Tony because they value the game and they value the players who do everything to make it to the end. Tony is a fighter and I felt he was justly rewarded. I was kinda shocked Nick and Adam voted for him because during the final tribal, it sounded like they were upset with him and personally, I kinda thought they were whiny babies.
I wonder if Tony, Sarah and Ben would have been the final three, what the vote would've been. I personally don't think Ben would have gotten much...he pissed too many people off and acted like a spoiled brat too many times when things didn't go his way. I honestly think it would have been close with Tony and Sarah. Especially after her speech at tribal. I really think a lot of folks respected her and thought she played a great game. The question would be if folks really thought Tony was running the show as Natalie said (personally I think that was a bald faced lie to get a fracture in the alliance) or if they saw enough from tribals to see they were a strong alliance.
Obviously, we could what if it to death, but will never know for sure.
