Morning All.

Beautiful morning here today, no real plans today. Maybe watch the World Cup final before playing in an intense masters game tonight.

Have a good one all.

I watched it too. Although it was a nice day so after mowing the lawn I took the iPad outside and watched in the backyard.

I hope it’s cheaper than my brake job last month.

Sat outside for a bit but the humidity and the tornado warning convinced me to head back inside.

Total repair bill is about the same I think, between 1000 and 1100 but that includes the reservoir as well.

Morning all. Received my PWK yesterday and will call tomorrow to discuss my plan and begin the process. From my calculations, which can't be trusted, I should be able to go in March 2020.

And, I booked our Disney trip for June 2020 today. I'll add 3 or 4 more days, and then maybe a few days at the beach. The plan is to get the DVC annual pass (first time) and the Wild Africa Trek as a graduation gift for oldest dd.

They got back to me on the rest of the install. The 17th. Which, you know, at least I'm not waiting for them to do it on Monday, but...seriously? 2 weeks out? "We don't care. We don't have to. We're the phone company."

And they expect payment on time though. Ridiculous. I'm not sure where bad customer service started, and why we just accept it.

We finally got DW Tuscon back on Thursday, only took 8 and half weeks. The bad news is the safety inspection was due and we now need new brakes all around and a new windshield washer reservoir. I guess I know what she getting for our anniversary.

Is that a government inspection or a dealer one?

I'm watching too. Should be a good game.

That sucks. I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. Interesting you mention Disney. I’ve been trying to think how my card could have been compromised. It’s my main card so I was very careful, no online shopping. The only place I think the card was stored online - Disney when I paid for my trip last August.

My card was compromised shortly after a Disney stay as well. It could be some thugs working at WDW in Florida copying the # or their system being hacked. Either way, it doesn't directly impact me as I don't pay the charges and just have to deal with the hassle of changing #s. However, the cost of all the fraud gets passed on to the rest of us. But, we are going the way of digital money.

Happy Friday! Not much going on here except earth quakes and my credit card getting jacked. 6.1 a few days ago and a 7.1 just a little bit ago.
Had to close my account and get a new card due to it being used to charge a bunch of stuff on the east coast.this is the 3rd time I have had a card compromised right after paying disney for our trip.
Sorry as that's a lot to handle at the same time. Hope the quakes are done and hope you and yours are all safe.

Good deal Norm! Nice for you to have a trip to plan and look forward to with all the work mess you are dealing with.
Morning all. It was a terrific game for the women's world cup. Time to head into work to work on my retirement. :sad2: Unlikely I will know specifics today, but it's another step closer.
Hope it all works out for you Norm - positive thoughts

Morning from a crowded bus to work. Back in the saddle after a long weekend. Somehow, I ended up waking up to my alarm for 3 out of the 4 days.

Made a reservation for my daughter and I for the Princess Half Marathon next year. Rest of the family decided to skip. Still waiting on Disneyland to unlock the January reservations so I can get people to Galaxy's Edge.

Not easy when you feel like you are being forced into it but I wish I had that problem. I like my job when I get to do what it sounds like I do, but the reality is much different. Mostly grant writing, administering grants when I get fortunate enough to get one, and attending meetings where we are told we need to do more with less and have more impact. When I spent those long 12 years in college to study science I didn't think I would spend the rest of my life at a computer. If I could afford to semi-retire I would, and then get a job where it feels like I am accomplishing something. One of the reasons I am looking at the administrator position is just for a change, but I am not sure if the time committment away from the family right now is worth it. The youngest will be out of high school in 3 years. I wish our previous director had stayed healthy because in another 3-4 years the decision would have been easier to make.

Saw TS4 yesterday with my brother and niece.
Enjoyed it. I'm not sure as I'd say sad in the end, but bittersweet.

Congrats Norm! Since you just got the contract renewal for a year, hopefully that means a light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a freight train.

The beach in general or Vero Beach DVC resort?

Often times, they're the ONLY option and when you have no other option, they simply don't give a rat's ___.

If their data storage systems are designed as well (and by well I mean piece of ____) as MDE, Agent P and others, it would not surprise me at all. I've said it before, as an IT person having designed or maintained well designed apps, their apps are garbage.

Morning from a sunny Westfield NB. DD had a great birthday weekend, a good time was had by all. Happy Monday guys.
Cool deal. Tell her Duncle Doc will have a gift for her when you return in January. Too ridiculously expensive to ship stuff up there. Almost wonder if driving up there and delivering in person would be cheaper.

We've been trying to catch my youngest up on the first 3 before we see the new one. Just watched TS3 with him yesterday. Given that my oldest is going to college in a year, I wasn't ready for TS3 to destroy me all over again.

Nice to hear about the Disney trip Norm. :thumbsup2

Head on up any time Doc lots of room for you, and with the heat wave we are having you would feel right at home.:rotfl:

A successful day. The amount of PWK I have to submit is staggering, but I should be able to manage. March 2020 is the projected date. Still not official yet though, but the process had started.

Thanks. Looking forward to the trip. We are going to try 10 days at BWV and DVC APs for the first time.

That sounds fun. I'll never be able to run any type of marathon with my knees, but I still play some mixed doubles Tournaments with my youngest dd.

I've accepted it. I would have been around another few years and then retired. It would have been more $ and on my terms. But, it keeps me closer to home and off the road as much.

I'm good thru June. Getting out in March keeps me ahead of train. We'll use all our UY points at BWV, so we may just add a couple days at Cocoa Veach to check out that area.

Nice to hear about the Disney trip Norm.

Thanks.
