Happy Friday. If you're in the area, while most of the pros miss it, make sure to watch me play mixed doubles in the Woodward tournament with my daughter. Yes, there are no ATP points awarded and it isn't USTA sanctioned, but it will be good one. This one became an invitational tournament because they were one team short.

But the whole trip is now scarred with visions of Norm bellowing out “Let it go”

I'm not as bad as you think, but not as good as I think after drinking around the world.

Right. That’s it. I’m calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one standing after craft beers at Beaches pool bar at the Grand Floridian goes home to Madame Leota. And let me tell ya, Hurry back, because she’s dying to have you.

If y'all make it to Atlanta, I'll cook some of this up for ya. Best bacon I've ever had. There's a meat place (Patak Meats) about 45 minutes from my house and they're open one Saturday (first one) a month. Want to guess where I was first thing this morning? Going to go have my birthday lunch as soon as DW gets back since we missed it on my actual birthday because she was working.

Just a quick hello. I’ve got important things to tend to today.
12 years ago today I gained a wonderful wife and fantastic step-daughter all in the same day.
Quiet dinner for two is reserved at a nice Italian place tonight.

By the way, just being curious, have any of you got to the point where you don’t feel the need to get gifts or even cards for each other? DW and I haven’t bothered in a few years. We would rather spend the money on a nice dinner out.

To answer your question, we don't do gifts. Cards tend to be on the humourous side.

Tournament over. Made it out of Friday. Lost Saturday. Icing the knee for soreness, but not pain. Treating it with beer as well.

I can't stand sending cards. Waste of money and made up by Hallmark to screw people out of money. I try to send the $.99 cards to the family I rarely see and don't really like.

As for DW and birthday & anniversary gifts, I always get her flowers (cheap Walmart bouquet), bottle of wine, etc. For the past 15 years of our marriage, we go on vacation in October for Fall Break. Her birthday usually falls during that week as well. So, I tell her I bought her a Disney vacation for her birthday.
