Regional tournament time for DS and his teammates. Won the first game this morning pretty easily, play their second tonight at 6:30. So I decided to "work" from home today.

The weekend is upon us! Finally. This has been a VERY long week. Seems like every day flies by. Too many meetings and not enough time to get work done. Yet, it feels like the week is dragging. Anyways, time for a little down time with the family.

So cool. I'm glad she's getting to have this experience. Even if she does end up spending her professional career later on behind a desk sending e-mails.

She is having a blast. I'm a little worried it is taking her away of studies but I'm keeping my mouth shut. Problem with this is it is hard to find a PAYING job when they get out. No emails all day but she may get stuck in a lab doing research.

Oh, and remember how I told you all that a boy from church & tennis has a crush on my daughter? Well, I guess it's their first date on Saturday as they get to play tennis together on one court while his dad and I play tennis on another court.

Hello guys. I am finally heading home today after my month long work rotation overseas (southeast Asia for anyone who doesn't know). Can't wait to get back and see the family.

Welcome (?) to the club. Oldest DD had a boyfriend last year for 4-5 months but has stayed away from it for a while, long enough for my blood pressure to go down at least. She just started bringing another guy around this month. Not too serious yet (I presume, but they really don't tell you much). Of course I don't like it, but she's turning 17 next month and there's not much I can do about it. Got to let them go sometime.

I here ya. It's rather chilly here in VA as well. Someone needs to throw another log or two on the fire.

Another win for DS and his buddies, 96-67 over the #1 ranked team from the Southern Conference. Both games today have allowed for the starters to get lots of rest and tonight had the bench play pretty much the entire 4th quarter.

Happy Saturday guys. Tennis this morning went Well for both my and dd. She lost the match, but played him close to 5-3. Now, I have Tottenham vs Middlesbrough. It's been an entertaining match so far. You all have a good day.

My oldest 15 had a HS boyfriend who carried her books at school and she met with her friends at the football games this year. Not much alone or one on one time. All we can do is teach them the best we can, model good behavior, and threaten any of the little buggers who we meet.

The run ended in the final. The boys had a sloppy 69-62 win in the semis this morning and a couldn't overcome a weak first half in the final against their cross-town rival, losing 99-86. DS had a double-double in both games. They will head off to the provincial championship next weekend as the two seed from the South-West. If all goes to form, the final next weekend should be the same two teams as this weekend.

Provincials is as far as they go for high school. After that he will be doing some age-class stuff and then the weekends in April will be the try-outs for the age-class provincial teams and Canada Games team.

Should have an excellent shot at the U16 team, he has an outside shot at the Canada Games team. The provincial group he played with last summer was made up of most of the Canada Games athletes. He did well with that group so I think he may be on the radar.
