Alright all of you DDCC5 goers. Time has come to get our first headcount of the first bbq held in the house of the mouse. As many if not all of you know we will be hosting a BBQ meet and greet during the DDCC. This event will be kicking off on Thurs Jan 5th (4pm ish) at the party resort of SSSR . This will be one of the highlight meets of the trip hosted by the Magical chefs of the party room and some awesome others .Was planning on getting initial head count in Nov but we are close enough. We would like to get a pretty close number on how many will be attending so we can set menu and start out our planning process. This will take a little bit of organization since it will be taking place at one of the bbq pavilions at a resort. This event will rival any dinner that Disney can offer ( well maybe lol) Once we have our original list our planners will get to work. This event is open to all dads and family members. We are dads and could not be dads without our families.I will be cross posting in all of our club houses but would like to keep our list here in FB as it will be easier here. Please post here if you will be attending and how many will be in your party.
Man, I am really disappointed that I will not make this. I keep saying, "Next year" and it never happens. Going to make it one of these days!
I've never seen a football game, but I did see the massive stadium at Texas A&M and was impressed. I'm intrigued by the atmosphere and rituals of US college football. I probably won't ever see a game in person, but it would be fun.
There is truly a different atmosphere around the US college football. We tend to get a little crazy
Tenn is killing me this year. Came into the season with much promise and have failed in so many ways. 20+ injuries doesn't help either. The bench is only so deep. Hard to believe FL is going to the SEC championship this year.It was a good day yesterday. Gators won handily, while Tenn. Miami and FSU lost. Had a good time vegging in front of the TV while munching on snacks.
Before getting married, several guys gathered at my house every Saturday. Meets, beer and bourbon from the start of ESPN GameDay until the West Coast games went off. Long fun days.Nothing like college football in the South. Puts the NFL to shame. You have to tailgate and take in the sights and smells (mostly Bourbon and grilling meat). For the Florida/Georgia game RVs started arriving Wednesday for a Saturday afternoon game.
