New guys! Welcome, I will get you set up when I can get to my computer.
Morning/afternoon from England chaps.... Only 4 hours to go in the work week over here, then all weekend building a climbing frame. Good news is off the Disneyland Paris at the end of next week, and then the countdown to Florida begins. Soccer season finished last week, so I now have a backlog of jobs from DW to get through...
First post here. Just figured I would drop in and say hi. Here's to hoping some of you are at WDW this weekend and having fun for the rest of us...
Welcome aboard. I see out illustrious leader has given you a number; Norm will be along shortly to collect the dues. You should be okay with that much of a cushion. I guess it depends on the day of the week that you arrive. Our next trip we arrive on a Friday at 4:05, and I'm HOPING we can make it on property ahead of the Friday afternoon rush hour traffic kicks in to delay us. We will be trying to make a 6:30 ADR.Hey fellas, how long does it typically take to get from MCO to your resort using MDE? Our flight arrives at 4:30PM and we've got ADRs at Raglan Road at 7:00PM. Is that going to be too tight? We're staying at SSR.
That is around the time of year we have been travelling to Disney the the past couple of years. It is typically very hot. Just make sure you plan plenty of down time during the middle of the day. We usually hit rope drop, then bail for pool time while it is super crowded and very hot, then head back in later for evening hours.August 13 -20 in GF, and then a week in Anna Maria Island. The Poly looks awesome, DW & I are talking about it for 2017, let me know what you think.
Had an interesting conversation with DD15 about those.
"Look Kay. Rafts."
"Those aren't rafts Dad."
"Sure they are."
"No. Rafts don't have engines."
Looked it up. This from Wiki: "are typically not propelled by an engine"
rotten kid.
Baked pancakes???Pancakes are in the oven when everyone else wakes up.
Thanks for the tip! The kids are pretty small at the minute, so thats the plan, to take to pretty easy and avoid the middays. Using these years as training for when they are bit older, just sowing the seeds of love for the parks...That is around the time of year we have been travelling to Disney the the past couple of years. Cheers for the tip pkondz, a splash of sunscreen would be in order then, yes?
Last time we were in that sort of heat DW ended up in the room for about 6 days with heatstroke, being the english rose that she is, so basically we flew 3500 miles to watch 3 year old movies in a hotel room in the caribbean. At least the view was nice from the window.

Morning gents. Back to the grind later today with a trainee attached to my waist for the next 20 weeks. Going to try to get more work done on the deck first. Pancakes are in the oven when everyone else wakes up.
Splitting one dole whip into 818 portions as we speak. Hopefully it'll be OK on the journey from London.Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. You mail 818 portions to me and then I mail to all the guys. It's a fool proof plan

Mixed weekend here in Austin. Only 1/2 day at work today; another rainy afternoon is going to shut us down early. We havent had 2 dry days in a row in a month. Dont get me wrong I am not complaining about the rain, we are just recovering from 4 years of drought; I just wish the timing was better so I could work outside on the weekends.
Once I get off I am heading up for my Granddads 93rd b'day. Fried fish, top shelf scotch, and horseracing. Gonna be a good afternoon.

Good evening all. On our way to WDW now. Drove through 5 states today. Stopping north of Atanta for the night. Stoked to arrive in Orlando tomorrow!!!
No. No. No. You misunderstood. Norm takes care of the dividing. Just send him the full amount.Splitting one dole whip into 818 portions as we speak. Hopefully it'll be OK on the journey from London.
Generally I would agree, but granddad drinks Pinch, so I am not gonna argue.Better with bourbon.
Great plan! Thanks for the tip! The kids are pretty small at the minute, so thats the plan, to take to pretty easy and avoid the middays. Using these years as training for when they are bit older, just sowing the seeds of love for the parks...
Hard to believe I can't find a yawning smilie. It is interesting the different ways people use to keep pancakes warm until those lazy louts can consume them. Pat puts them on a plate in the microwave and keeps the door shut. I always put them on a plate and keep them wrapped in aluminum foil...........Nah, just keeping 'em warm 'til the lazy louts rouse themselves.
Awesome! Have a great vacation and keep us posted if you can. Any plans for a trip report this time?Good evening all. On our way to WDW now. Drove through 5 states today. Stopping north of Atanta for the night. Stoked to arrive in Orlando tomorrow!!!
