Checking in here...have I missed much?
I seemed to have lost an hour somewhere guys, just wondering if any of you may have seen it. Thanks
Just all our usual brilliance.
It's been a rough day so far. My dd is slower today at the swim meet. Whatever idiot scheduled a swim meet weekend on spring time change is an idiot. 8:00 AM start time is already early enough without losing an hour.
Morning guys. Beautiful weather yesterday and all of this week here in balmy Indy. And I have just 61 days to go until I'm in WDW.
Disdads and brilliance in the same sentence....mark this day in history boys!
We decided to make some changes at the restaurant and move some equipment around, after a late night last night it didn't feel very good to lose that hour this morning. I agree this day should officially be a do nothing day.
Im glad to see things have not changed LOL however, I see the board has a total new look!
Sunshine, warmth and fresh air today. It was a good day even though I spent most of it working on federal taxes. Still need to do the state taxes this week. Time change has me out of sorts. I wish they would just leave it one way or another.

Good Morning David, and the Rest of the Club!
I'm surprised they didn't just use CJ's credit card to pay all their bills...
Looks like the hammer dropped today. The governor is proposing new health plans for state employees starting in the next fiscal year. Naturally, our premiums are increasing, co-pays are increasing, and now we'll have deductibles for the first time ever. So it's basically turning into a private-sector health plan, without the corresponding private sector pay. Sigh.
'Morning all...
The time change didn't hit me until this morning. The loss of that hour combined with my scheduled early work week for closing processing had my alarm screamed at me at what in actuality is 4am. No one should be forced into consciousness at that hour unless it's got something to do with heading out to Disney.I like the Do Nothing Day idea, but I'd rather it were today. I already did nothing yesterday, and it didn't help much. Maybe it needs to be a Do Nothing Week. Now there's some brilliance...
...How are you doing sir and have you heard any more from the doctors?...
...Hoop season is now officially over for the winter. DD's team lost in the semi-finals to the eventual champions. The team we played has the player of the conference on the roster and DD dominated her in the first half, scoring 12 points and putting 3 fouls on her in the first 4 minutes to send her to the pine. For some reason our head coach decided to sit DD and a couple other of our better players to go with 5 guards at the end and we got clobbered in the last 4 minutes to lose by 7. Still, it was a good season and DD improved a lot. For my team, we were moved up to D1 for the playoffs and had the toughest road through. We beat all teams but one, bowing out in the final to a team from Salem, NH. They had a couple of really big girls that we had a hard time with as we do not have a lot of size. Got our silver metals and very proud of the efforts as we beat 2 teams that had more talent in the quarters and semi's. I'll miss it, but glad the craziness is over.
DS tweaked his knee at baseball practice last night and can barely walk. Hoping it's just a sprain and nothing serious. Home from school and going to the doctor today.....

Let me explain.

No, there is too much. Let me sum up.
No.
For those of you that haven't seen it. Here is the tag line under the title of our DIS Dads forum:
Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Good Morning Men! It's a sunny Monday and it was over 10 degrees she I got up today. Not too bad! I think Elsa has finally gotten hug and decided to take a few days off. May hit 50 here by Wednesday.

Bummer on the insurance. Fortunately for us, Massachusetts was ahead of the curve on Obamacare and the health changes. They screwed us years ago so the changes now have minimal impact.
I am doing well compared to much of the world so I shouldn't complain. I may, but shouldn't. The preliminary pathology is looking good and I will find out if chemo is needed in a couple of weeks when I go back to my surgeon. The family is adjusting and we are hoping to have a quiet time of recovery for the foreseeable future.
Thankfully, my boss told me not to worry about my scheduled vacation in 26 days...he said "we should be fine".
it's truly Monday.....my co-worker of 15 years has decided to move to a different position. What does this mean? More work for Scott and having to train someone (once we find them). Not looking forward to this.
