Damn but that sounds good. Especially dessert. My Christmastime Beer Stash has grown to comical proportions. Tempted to grab another bottle of Steamworks Blitzen, a BC craft brewery Belgian Tripple style. It went down nice and smoothly.![]()
I am running out to get my Christmas brews tonight. I just got my beer goblets from Amazon yesterday (woohoo!).
I got to have Anderson Valley's Winter Solstice and Great Lakes Christmas Ale this weekend. I haven't actually decided on what I'm going to purchase.A tried and true, albeit not as sexy, Sam Adams Winter Lager may be in order.
I think we need to stop encouraging Tim. Just sayin'.Snicker LOL
Ditto. I am mainly catching up on overdue e-mails and overdue promises that are on the verge of EMPTY promises.Morning guys. Last full day of work this week![]()
Sounds yummy.
We shall be having:
- Bacon wrapped Tenderloin
- Prosciutto and cheese stuffed Turkey Breast
- Lasagna
- Glazed Carrots
- Twice mashed potatoes (Mom's recipe)
- Squash
and whatever everyone else brings.
For apps we have assorted dips and cheese and crackers.

Those are some serious entrees! I was actually contemplating a carrot side dish. Your menu may have just sold me! I may have to go to Lowe's today and but a new double oven. LOL.
I feel your pain, Norm. You don't seem like the type of guy that needs affirmation, but know that the nuclear family along with a loving bunch of grandparents and aunts\uncles has long been an illusion.Morning all. First Christmas today.
Thanks, but there is no hope in who-ville. My family is like a scene from Christmas vacation, with all the crazy and none of the humor. DW believes Christmas should be with her parents (divorced, so that makes 2), grandparents, cousins, aunts, etc. These people are not a part of our lives, except for FB. I think Christmas should be time enjoyed with your spouse and children, which we get for a couple of hours before dashing to the next out-law Christmas. We even have to schedule Mass around everyone else's schedule.
Sounds like a great menu. Enjoy.
My collection or booze keeps disappearing and I keep replacing. I need to look investigate that.
How are all the children enjoying Christmas? Is Santa still visiting?
Manning's time may be done. He has never been a great bad weather QB, and I imagine age can't help. And to think, Manning took Denver two games further than Tebow.![]()

My family by itself is dysfunctional (divorced parents, haven't talked to mom in years. My dad remarried when I was 17 and I had a great relationship with my stepmom but following my marriage, it's now an estranged relationship.) and I have 3 half-siblings with the closest 21 years younger.) and combined with my wife's, it's akin to everything being coated in gasoline and everyone has their own lit match, just ready to drop it on a whim.
DW's parents are divorced but everyone gets along. MIL is at times psychotic but I lover her to pieces. but she is a barrel full of drama. FIL and his wife are absolutely awesome. SIL is finalizing a divorce. Just alot of potential drama.
I like you (great minds) believe Christmas is for the spouse\kids. We used to go to mass with my DWs parents on Christmas day and it was always rushing and kids couldn't relax and enjoy themselves. We now do Christmas eve mass at our Church. We then visit the in-laws after Chruch. DWs mom and gram join us on Christmas day and her Dad\stepmom stop over in the evening to have coffee\dessert with everyone. There's plenty of time around the holidays to do visits. Given that I don't really see my family, except for my older brother, I insist on Christmas at my house. My insistence is based on the fact that we don't see my family at the holidays, like ever. I have the trump card.
I watched the game last night and not sure what to think of either Cinci or Denver. If we go by the "experts" we should just skip to the AFC Championship and watch Brady own Manning again.
