Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
morning guys. Headed to the airport in a few.:thumbsup2

Heard an interesting take on Cowerd's show on ESPN Radio. Basically, it was not so much as Brady throwing the ball, but the stats show that the the Patriots FUMBLE the ball less than all the indoor teams - by a big margin over the last # of years- which would be effected by the inflation of the ball. He pointed out that the "Patriot" way of not fumbling the ball couldn't be duplicated by Crennel and Daniels when they went to other teams. Finally, Blount and Edelman fumbled the ball more with the other teams they played for than they did with the Patriots.

That's an interesting take. Especially given the fact that Edelman has never played for another pro team other than the patriots. Real investigative stuff there. :sad2:

Haters gonna hate. ;)

Looks like excellent work!:thumbsup2

Evening Guys,

I hope every that needs to be has dug out. I am afraid of what I will find when I get home tomorrow. I asked DW this morning if DS was complaining from all the shovelling he had to do yesterday and she said he hadn't done it yet. The schools were closed again today so I hope he had fun to do it today. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Maybe he was giving it a day to melt off. :thumbsup2

Morning all…
Nothing to report.
Not sure whether that’s a good thing or bad one.

Brent, Murphy paid a visit to my house last night as well with a furnace failure. Sure does get cold in the house when the heat is out and you have -4 wind chills. The positive is we had electricity all night and the electric heaters kept the house around 54 degree. Yah us! No school today. DD playing outside. DS still in bed.

Snowblower froze up last night during the clean up as well, making it a little more difficult. Governor froze and would lose power whenever the auger was moving. Thawed it out and then sheared a pin. Fixed that and sheared another one. Finally everything back together. I'm hoping the next storm on Friday goes a little smoother.

That's a lot of frustration rolled up into one day.
Glad you got it all straightened out. May Murphy not make his presence known again for some time.

Lastly DW would like to extend her gratitude and thanks for the prayers and thoughts for the whole ordeal. It's been a real rollercoaster two weeks since we got the news and obviously was a lot different then we expected. It'll be done time before things will feel natural again we just finally got back into the groove after my Dad passed and now she's in my place but all is good. The funeral home we dealt with is very good with dealing with this. They are going to handle the government side of it we have been doing the rest, and the package they gave her thinks of everything and step by step how to go about it all. Making this far easier then I thought it'd be.

Thoughts and prayers for all in your family.
Y’all have had more than your fair share of trials lately. May a bit of calm and peace be with you.

Very cool. Looks like a lot of fun was had by the young’ens.
That’s one outdoor activity that kids down this way are not much likely to be experiencing.

Murphys a dork!

Yes… but a very effective one.
And damn persistent as well.

Homer is my hero. :lmao:

It pays to choose ones heroes wisely.
But, are you emulating Homer… or is Homer emulating you?

The world wonders.

No, I listened to the entire disaster. Congrats to your Boilermakers. That was a butt whooping.

Never know what to expect out of them from one game to the next. I'm glad they came to play last night. Anytime the bigs show some effort and play with the heads in the game, I feel like Purdue has a chance to play with anybody. That just doesn't happen much. Last night, Hammons definitely brought the intensity that he rarely ever shows. He's a monster when he wants to be.

I was glad to see the guards step up the defensive intensity too. That's really been a weak spot, but Smotherman and Octeus did a pretty good job on Yogi. I was impressed. Now they just need to do it consistently.

Could be, and probably will be, an entirely different game in Bloomington in a couple of weeks, but I'll take last night and the momentum it builds. 5-3 in the conference and we're right in the middle of the pack... After ND and Gardner Webb, I never expected it, but will gladly take it.

Haters gonna hate? Apparently, you don't listen to Cowherd. He loves Belicheck, Brady, Wilson, Carroll and Romo. Maybe he meant Amendola. I thought it was an interesting commentary.

Good morning gentlemen.

I see all these pics of snow forts then I look out at my brown grass and sigh.

Good Morning Dads,

Posting from home today after the cleanup of 29.2 inches officially reported. Looks like Paul wins.:lmao::lmao: As I mentioned to Brent, Murphy paid a visit to my house last night as well with a furnace failure. Tell your nemie to lay off the voodoo doll.
The kid went to her first Blizzard party and was kind of ticked they only got about 6 inches.
I'm going to leave this hanging curve ball alone.
Murphys a dork! FYI Baileys in the hot chocolate is way better! :coffee:
Noted of future reference. I was going to try Jameson but this sounds better.

More info on summer vacation plans. June 21 to June 27 are the dates. We are booked at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort in a suite in the tower, with 1 day at Universal, 1 day at IoA, & 1 day at Sea World. The plans are to add two more days at WDW, probably MK & Epcot.

I haven't done 5 consecutive park days in awhile, so that will be a test. It will be nice to check out the dark side, but I'm really looking forward to Sea World.

I forget, do they serve beer in the dark side?

Afternoon guys. Nothing major here, my Hawks are killing me after blowing 3 different leads against the Kings last night including blowing a 3-2 lead with 6 / 7 minutes to go. The big piles of $tuff hitting me first thing in the morning is throwing my timing and Top O The Mornings off, got to fix this.

Safe travels and enjoy :thumbsup2

Congratulations on getting the 2 WDW days in. If memory serves me, those were unlikely with the last update. Looks like a fun trip. SeaWorld is awesome. We haven't been in several years. We did do Discovery Cove 2 years ago and that was excellent. I think we may be taking a SW day this August.

I'll be looking forward to your review of Cabana Bay. We keep thinking about a long weekend trip to the dark side, but have yet to pull the trigger. Convince me.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes, yes they do.:thumbsup2

Thanks. I'm planning on another live trip report, and will include the resort.

In that case I think we should set up a beer fund for Norm as he is traveling with his beloved in-laws.

Just send your donations to me and I will be sure to get them to Norm!

Good idea on the donations.....

I see what you did there...

.......and I see what you did there too. Let's send the money or booze donations directly to me.

Clearly none of you can be trusted as you are only looking out for yourselves. You can send them to me and I'll make sure they are put to good use, I mean saved for Norm.;)

I was going to post this on the Prayer Request list but it is appropriate for all Dads.

As an elder to most of you, I get to give you youngsters some advise so sit down and look at me when I am talking to you! I turned 50 last November and as a result qualified for a colonoscopy through our insurance. Nothing says Happy Birthday like getting a tube...oh never mind.

I went in today and they found a large mass. I'm now on the list for the next available surgery to get it removed and will get pathology results in 7-10 days.

Despite Murphy living with us, at least wasn't having problems at that end and no family history that would have made me concerned so you never know. Yes, the preparation is miserable. It took me 6 hours to get through 3 liters of the solution and it was a miserable 6 hours. Nonetheless, it was good I had it done.

Now I wait, but if it is an option for you don't wait. I hate to think what may have happened if I had waited until problems develop. As it is I don't know what the end result may be.

Sermon over, back to the random stream of thought.
