Sorry I can't take your call. It snowed not even 1/4" which means schools are closed. Much more and we declare a state of emergency.

With the dvc points, we just decided to add a week in the summer and try something new. We really like Vero Beach - been there 4 times and hope to retire to that area.

Never been to Miramar Beach. It is north in the panhandle on the Gulf side. We stayed at Panama City Beach once, which has a nickname of Redneck Riviera. It reminded me of Ft Lauderdale with all the helicopters flying over. It seems like a great party time, but I'm looking more for family vacation destinations now. We rented a 1 BR condo from a guy at the church for a good deal. He said it is a quiet beach and not a tourist area. That sounds better to me.

Sorry mate. We can't talk unless you've got a number. Its a bureaucratic nightmare. It took me months. And @AirGoofy is gonna demand all kinds of stuff.
Imagine the green card process but with beer and butt jokes.

Hopefully the process is long enough for me to get my 10 posts so I can set my signature and avatar. LOL

Randall will be along in a short while to sort you out. Except he is literally dealing with butts right now in WDW. Welcome.

The Chief Bacon Officer is currently at WDW for the annual DisDad convention. He'll get you a # when he returns. Those butts Dan referred to were Boston butts being cooked in the party room at one of the resorts.

In the meantime, you send me the dues in the form 820+ dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. I'll mail them to the rest of the guys. Trust me, this is a fool proven plan. :lmao:

Tell us about yourself. Any recent trips or upcoming trips? Plans?

Yes it looks like there are having quite a good time down there in the world. I have been following them on Facebook and wishing I was there! I'm from Central PA married to my wife for seven years, (proposed and honeymooned down there), two girls (4 & 1). We have our first kids free trip planned for this December.

And yes, Dole Whips all around!

As you've already been told, our illustrious leader is otherwise occupied at the moment. He'll get you sorted out eventually.

Here we go! Just settling in to listen (yes, listen, not watch since I'm back at work so only have internet radio) to Canada vs. USA in the World Junior Hockey tournament. Yes, I'm aware that most of you had no idea that existed, but it's always fun to see our two countries play for gold. I'm not sure what to expect from this one since we lost to the US on New Year's Eve during the round robin.

Just to add to @pkondz sentiment on 1/4" of snow...

When you've had 80 cm/31 inches in one day in April, then we'll talk emergency :P

Mine must be melting before they arrive in the mail. I've yet to receive my slice and more than 10 guys joined since me...

Welcome to the group! I've not yet had the pleasure of an adults only trip. Something I need to consider.

If it wasn't already clear, Darcy and I find our blowers perform really well. Much better experience than doing the job manually by hand...

I like the idea of having some quiet time on a beach after WDW. I've always left property and went straight home.

Uh, huh. Ya know where you can stick that snowblower, huh?

Been there. 1997. Followed by our flood of the century later that spring.

2-2 tie starting the 3rd period, Make that 3-2 Canada!!!!!

You I went one winter without a snowblower. It died during the first storm in December (2014). Then it all melted and it seemed like we were going to be lucky as we went through until early January with sweater weather. The it turned brutally cold and started to snow. I think it stopped snowing in April and all told we had about 14 feet of snow.
