DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Morning boys, from an overcast London. Left my cousins about midnight last night, we were round there at 4, so not a bad session. A swim and a sausage sandwich helped calm matters this morning. Not much on the agenda today, looking forward to some football tonight. 49ers/Vikings and the Cowboys at the Panthers are on over here.

I noticed that. This is UK's year to beat them though. :lmao:
There you go. All runs have to end sometime. How was the cake?
As for the coaching violation, if you are going to do it you better be prepared to pay for it. As for Serena she has always been a bad loser and it didn't surprise me to see her reaction.
Totally agree. On top of that, Osaka just won the US Open, and it completely overshadowed her moment. Bad darts.
if you want to talk pain, try being a Bills fan.:headache:
In the tailgate for the London games, there is a tradition that 32 supporters of all the teams come out of the crowd with their jerseys on, to show the breadth of support the NFL has in the UK. The Bills is always the one that is toughest to find.
racquet violation
I was looking at a 101L on Amazon, she could have sent that to me, rather than smashing it up.
Tornados touched down here. No damage or injuries, just in fields and farm land
Good news mate. Look after yourself.

Have a good one chaps, may your day be a check where the barman forgot to move the bar tab over.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Bit of a tough day yesterday attending the funeral of a neighbor. 50 years old and two kids in middle school, very sad. Have a good Sunday gents.

Good to hear no injuries or damage, be safe and congrats on the big win tonight.

Morning all. Definitely moving into more traditional weather with warm days sandwiched by cool mornings and nights. I'm guessing the leaves will start to turn soon.

Not much planned for the day, small jobs to finish, watch some football, grill some steak and play some soccer. Sounds like a good day.

Glad to hear you were able to find your way home without too much trouble.

Very sad. It's never really a good thing but I hate to hear that when there is young kids involved.

Sorry to hear that. We have one for a neighbor today, but they just celebrated their 61st anniversary and no kids. Always harder when kids are involved.
Still sad...wonderful lady.

I don’t want to see anyone get hurt, but man what’s next in the NFL, skirts? Watching NFL Redzone and flags all over the place on football hits. Watch an entire day of college football and don’t see all these calls for roughing, illegal hit, uneccasary roughness… just my two cents.

YUP!!! Called it. Too bad, the meme was funny. :lmao:

Just be consistent. Call both or don't call both. Yes, she is a bad loser.

Cake is always good.

Yea, and thanks. Tough day for you yeaterday. I'll add them to my prayers.

Believe in something. Even if it costs you everything.

See, now that's important. It's not every team that can claim a record like that. That's the problem these days. You get folks like the Cubs throwing away century-old traditions of failure.

In the tailgate for the London games, there is a tradition that 32 supporters of all the teams come out of the crowd with their jerseys on, to show the breadth of support the NFL has in the UK. The Bills is always the one that is toughest to find.

Well, they are certainly doing their best to make this statement stand the test of time.....

...and here we go again. Bills fans are used to the suffering though and believe it builds perseverance and character which gets you through the trials of life. It is rather like attending an annual boot camp to get tough for what life with throw at you the rest of the year. They also tend to consume large amounts of alcohol.

Where’s the Bourbon?

I think our problem is that we keep watching expecting the NFL to be a sport, and in reality it's just an entertainment show.

Welcome to another Monday. Hoping for only 200 more if these, figuratively.

Looks like Rob is going to get hammered by the hurricane. Prayers for you and the others in the path of the storm.

And they got spanked hard by the Ravens yesterday. Good thing Buffalo traded away it QB, WR, and other good players.

Well, look at it this way. They will do great relegated to the next league.

Been saying this for years. ::yes::

Morning Guys,

Who turned on the Monday sign again? We really need to have a talk with this guy.

Busy week on tap up here. Lots to do at work and the annual Harvest Jazz and Blues festival kicks off tomorrow night. The vibe in the City when this is going on is awesome!

Have a good one all!

Oh Snap!

Top O the Mornin Dads! Being a Bills fan may be tough, try being a Bears fan - last night, seriously?! Just gotta get through the work week and then our short trip to DaWorld. This is the last of our "travels" during the year of our 25th anniversary (real date is in Dec). Got a couple of Dad meets with John P and Dave. Thoughts and prayers for Rob and anyone else in the path of the hurricane - be safe Rob and keep us posted as best you can. Have a good Monday gents, if there is such a thing.

Sounds like fun, have a good week.

'Morning all...
It's a grumpy kind'a Monday here, but that's mostly because my innerds are complaining about the recent caloric reductions I've imposed on them. I'm down about four LBs though, so they'll have to get over it 'cause I ain't given up just yet.

Looks like Rob is going to get hammered by the hurricane. Prayers for you and the others in the path of the storm.
Oh, we're watching that monster, alright.
From my particular perspective, I was more concerned Friday, but the thing shifted a bit north so we should be on the southwest side if it continues on the current track. That lightens our concerns for wind damage, but if it stalls once ashore (as predicted) we'll likely be dealing with flooding along the rivers and compromised dams. Right now, the folks with the most worries are on the Outer Banks or on either the Neuse or Cape Fear River flood plains. We'll keep watching the track and plan for the possibilities.

Hey Rob, not sure if you're doing keto like me...if you are and you need someone to help you along the way (bounce things off of, morale support, etc.), I'm here.

Oh, we're watching that monster, alright.

If you need a bug out spot, we're only a few hours away and we have two extra rooms. If you're anything like @pkondz, we also have some amazing ice cream about 10 min from the house. ;)

Well, like others, I was not happy too see it is Monday again. Had a nice, if quiet weekend. Weather is still pleasant around here - not blistering heat but still good for shorts and t-shirt. Got out for two walks with the family (trying to work off my excess Dole whip and Mickey waffle intake). I also did some chores I had been putting off like washing/vacuuming the cars, painting the front step, and trimming the lawn (not just mowing, but trimming with the weed wacker, I can't stand that, only do it a couple times a year).

Lots to do at work and the annual Harvest Jazz and Blues festival kicks off tomorrow night. The vibe in the City when this is going on is awesome!
It sounds like a good time. I remember you posting about it last year.

I don't watch a lot of football, but I caught a little of the first half before heading to bed. It was 10-0 for the Bears than. I guess it got interesting after that.

Good luck with it. I am trying to lose the few pounds I gained on our WDW trip. No success as yet. It seems like such a good idea at the time to have another Dole whip, until you get home and your pants are tight going back to work.
