At least this one isn't wearing flip flops

That's because he needs to run really fast if the cops catch them stealing that computer.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Good morning gentlemen,

I'm waiting for Peanut to get out of the shower. I might go back later and review the weekend's frivolity.

Jim, I have a little nugget for you to chew on all week. Peterson was not even the Vikings leading rusher yesterday.

Thanks Corey. That makes me feel much better.:sad2:

my Jags did it again, gave me a huge ray of hope and then took it all away. Once they do what Gus Bradley said and put the best players on the field "Blake Bortles" well be alright

Thanks for all the welcomes

It's only 1 week, but it looks like Allen is going to be a pretty good WR. I'm thinking they play Henne most of the season to keep Bortles from having the David Carr experience and ruining his career. Looks like the O line did a decent job yesterday, probably better than expected.

Best line about the football weekend comes courtesy of Sports Illustrated's Don Banks:

"The way the game went, we just never felt the need for him," Pettine said of Manziel, who barely took the Browns baseball cap off his head all day, inspiring some to claim his new nickname should be "Johnny Bench."

Johnny Who? Would be better. I loved that in our area, the marketing for the game started with "Johnny and the Browns" and he wasn't even supposed to play.:faint:

Good morning all. Back to the five day work week, although i think I'm taking off Friday at noon to cut the grass.

Who are is the current last place team in AFC East? :lmao:

Would that be the Kentuck.....Oh, wait a minute......Kentucky doesn't have a team.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: I see what your doing there. Getting on CJ's good side so he'll buy you more beer.:mad:

4 days this week and 4 days next. Golf this Friday and then again next Wednesday.:thumbsup2

Plasterers finally showed up this morning after being AWOL for 3 days last week. Hopefully now we can get the walls done and start getting the basement back together. For the last week, everyone that went into the basement left white footprints for the first 20 steps around the house.:rolleyes1

No time to go back because of CRUD but had to pop in and say the NFL season can end now, the Bills have a perfect record and no point in screwing it up. The only thing better would have been if the beat the fish, but at least the fish beat the pats so all-in-all the AFC east looks pretty good to me.

Good morning all. Back to the five day work week, although i think I'm taking off Friday at noon to cut the grass. So, maybe 4 1/2 days. Aa far as football, I think Romo is still throwing interceptions today. :lmao: Who are is the current last place team in AFC East? :lmao: I saw on FB where you sent the kids to bed. Couldn't you just start school later tho AM? Agreed. DW & I were married in backyard and reception was in garage. Used the $ for Disney honeymoon. Must be from FL. CJ says the locals don't wear crocs there.

That was the teachers call, not mine. I had to be at work by 6:15 this morning.

Quick take a picture of the standings. Then don't look again.:thumbsup2

CJ has been strangely absent from the boards today. Must be in the Keys again.:rolleyes1

He is still drinking! Basking in the epic victory by his beloved Phins!

Ravens finally released Rice. I don't care if you are 6' 5" 265 pounds and can bend steel bars, you do that to my little girl and I am coming after your a$$ with a baseball bat. Guaranteed you will never play football again and there is more than a 50/50 shot you will never walk again. Two games for knocking out a woman and four games for smoking pot? Goodell should be fired.

Barn weddings are the only ones I want to stay at for a long time. Go easy on the formal crap and have some fun!

Seriously... I'm about to block the Big Ten Network on Facebook. I'm sick of seeing them try to sugar coat everything. It reminds me of Kevin Bacon yelling "all is well" in Animal House in the midst of total chaos. I mean really, just admit the conference sucks. MSU is still a really good football team. Oregon was just better. But MSU's playoff chances are over since they play in a mid-major now.

Same goes for Purdue. I will be surprised if we aren't on our 4th coach in something like 8 years next season. All the talk about the talent and offensive weapons and the offense can't even get moving against Central Michigan. Give me a break.

They put a 1 win team on the field, keep raising ticket prices, and wonder why the place looks empty on TV. I considered going this weekend, but glad I didn't. The fear of a loss isn't what kept me away. It was the hit that my wallet would take if my son and I went to the game.

Never went to a barn wedding, but recently went to a tent wedding. Was fun until the skies opened up.

The BiG did not have a good weekend, but they announced the sanctions on Penn. State are over. Last year, Florida learned not to take the fans for granted. Season tickets held OK but the students said, Meh. Looked at how they were doing things across the board and made a lot of changes to enhance fan experience. One thing that helps is scoring 65 points in their "opening" game. It was a while since I went to a UF game but bought tickets for the LSU game couple of weeks ago. We will be in Orlando, nothing planned to do on Saturday, so the idea is to drive up, watch the game and then drive back. Looking forward to it.

Yes, the Phins looked pretty good. However, the Pats looked horrible. I am going to say we will start 0-2. If Moreno and Smith can put up 200 yards rushing, I am scared:scared: to even think of what Peterson will do to us next week. The over under on Cassell throw attempts is probably something like 15.:headache::mad::mad: Hopefully 10-6 wins the AFC East. Well, there's always the Bruins.:scratchin

We will see as the season progresses if the Phins are good and/or the Phats are bad. My guess is somewhere in between.

Must be from FL. CJ says the locals don't wear crocs there.

Some do but not the cool people. Socks however with whatever kind of footwear are optional. And don't wear socks (especially black ones) with sandals. Just thought you would like to know for when you move down here.

Nah, he already knows I owe him the first two. Kind of like someone I know. Good luck on the course and with the Plasterers. Joke in their somewhere but am not going to take it.

My brother purposely decided to live in Buffalo, not the brightest member of the family. Could be an interesting game this week.

Quick take a picture of the standings. Then don't look again.:thumbsup2

This will warm any nemie's heart, I was at the dentist today. Drinking would be more likely for the Gators than the Phins. But yes, a good weekend in my house for football.

Come on Jim, Paul, you can say it, nobody will hold it against you. The Dolphins looked pretty good today.

Only one game but if they play that way the whole year, even if they end up 8-8, it will be an entertaining 8-8.

They looked really good. Congrats on the win.

Breathe man, just breathe. If you remember, the last time they lost the season opener everyone was calling for the Hoodie to be fired and saying we were screwed because he cut Lawyer Milloy. We then went on to win the Super Bowl (and did it again the next year). No need to panic.

Yet :crazy2:

I LOVE sports but there are few that I can speak to as intelligently as the NFL. With that being said, being the largest of the major sports, they need to set a precedent.

Where legal matters are concerned, they need to crack down. It's the only way these players will learn. I am all for 2nd chances and understand people make mistakes, but at some point, you have to make the players understand what's at stake for them. The CBA dictates a lot of that, I know.

But in the latest debacle, the Ray Rice incident, if he is to get a 2nd chance, it better be after a year off w\o pay and some serious counseling as well as some form of retribution. For as much as people were furious at Mike Vick returning to the NFL, he served his time and thus was considered rehabilitated.

The real example that young players seem to see is what the players can get away with, rather than what they could lose.

Reality is that there is a lot of money and many of the players are still young and foolish. Many come from broken homes or those that do have a nuclear family have always been told how perfect they are. The culture of sports needs to change.

While I absolutely despise the Ravens (born and raised in Western PA and a HUGE Steelers fan) I feel bad that an organization loses a key contributor and feel even worse for fans. There are tons of kids running around in Ray Rice jerseys and their parents have to explain to them that Ray did a bad thing and isn't playing football any more.

And to CJ's point, if a man EVER did that to my daughter, I'd probably end up doing time b\c I would absolutely go vigilante.

It's a really sad state of affairs. Goodell is a complete schmuck, but he continues to generate more income for the NFL which is all that really matters, right?

Yeah, how could anyone from Ohio take any offense from their home being demolished in favor of a lake. :stir:
Renovated, not demolished. Clearly you aren't going to be Team Sparrow's spin doctor.:sad2:

The heart wants what the heart wants. My heart wants OH to be a lake. :confused3
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

A lot of media on the Ray Rice situation, and wish the NFL had handled the situation better. More importantly, this incident involved no jail time for Ray Rice. People are incarcerated longer for using (not dealing) drugs than for assaulting their wives/ partners.

Renovated, not demolished. Clearly you aren't going to be Team Sparrow's spin doctor.:sad2:

Nope, no spin doctor.

I only wish KY had a pro team, other than the one that plays college basketball in Lexington. :lmao:

That was the teachers call, not mine. I had to be at work by 6:15 this morning.

Need to straighten out that mean ole teacher. :teacher: :lmao:

I just want to be living near the beach or Disney World. I don't care what I wear - perhaps others will.

Hey guys, hope every one is doing great! received our first magic bands today! Other then work and fatherhood, not a lot has been going on. Norm, will see y'all in less then a month, and a few other dads, hopefully we can all meet up.

On Ray Rice, personally I don't know what has changed since he was suspended 2 games, he still beat his fiancee, but now that there's video out about it he's out of the league, should of done that in the first place.

I said the same thing. A lot of what was going around was, "Well, you don't know what happened IN the elevator."

I think seeing it has a very emotional impact.

One of the things I always question is, although Goodell has liberal freedom over administering "justice", how much of that do the owners really have a say in?

Any crafty veterans of the MVMCP? :listen:

Last year Norm dropped tons of knowledge on me about MNSSHP and it paid off in spades for my family and friends.

The MVMCP is foreign territory for me. We are doing it the last Friday that we are there, which also happens to be the inaugural night for the event and the Osborne Family Christmas Lights at DHS.

Not a vet of MVMCP, but as a tribute to my coworker that passed away last month. His advice to me about MVMCP was "do not taste the snow!, it's soap!" Lol

That is TREMENDOUS advice! I can imagine my girls sticking their tongues out like they do when it snows for real! :rotfl:

Actually, when the were filming the last Batman in Pittsburgh, they used soap flakes for the scenes where there was snow in the city. It was pretty cool to see.

Evening...been low key the last week with family and work ,getting back into the routines. Prayers, congrats and Welcomes to any and all who need them.

I agree with you and CJ, I wouldn't go to jail, because there would be no body (insert Godfather theme)

As for Goodell, he works for the owners and he is making them a lot of money so I doubt he is going anywhere. I think someone like John Harbaugh should resign since he has continued to support Ray and say how great of a guy and teammate he is. The Ravens have had some issues this year, maybe the leadership of the team should be criticized and looked at.

The sad thing in all this is that Tay is another guy who grew up in a home without a father present. Our rolls seemed to be diminished, we are portrayed as morons on most tv shows, and the cycle seems to go unbroken for those in that situation. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but we really are important in the lives of our children!

Morning guys. I am one week into beard watch 2014. I had a decent one last year, but shaved when we got our first false travel date. DW hasn't complained yet, so hopefully in a few months I'll have an awesome beard like my hero Randall!!
