If I could multiquote I would but I don't know how on my phone. But yes a beer would be awesome. Never before have I wanted one of those or a frozen Mexican beverage so much. Sitting by Stormalong Bay (in the shade) with a drink in my hand would be great. Unfortunately alcohol is out all month as well. Norm! Get in off that ledge! This is me we're talking about not you! Instead of alcohol I get yummy protein shakes and a sensible dinner off of an unbelievably restrictive menu. But because I have had stomach issues for almost 2 years my wife is making me do this. Deep down I'm grateful but man I'd love some nachos.

As someone that has had stomach issues, I can sympathize. Clean eating is the way to go, but deep down inside, you will always yearn for the "good stuff." Props for staying with it.

I just got a wake up call from Olaf. Not a bad way to start the day.

Morning guys. Hope all have a great day.

You've been playing a lot of tennis lately.

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH OUR NORM?!?

I don't know what is wrong with me. I guess this is my version of a mid-life crisis.

I just got a wake up call from Olaf. Not a bad way to start the day.

I won't intentionally tempt you any further. Sorry to hear about the stomach issues, and I do hope the restrictive diet works for that reason.

Morning all,

I am off to our Family Fun Day event to raise money for KidSport. We want to make sure every kid gets a chance to play an organized sport.

Have a good one.

Morning guys,

T-minus four days until college football season kicks off. With the way Florida played last year, it was a long off season.

Glad she made it back safe and is settling in for another year.

Is she planning on trying the cross-country thing this year?

No cross country, she has a heavy course load this semester. Only running will be getting ready for the marathon.

Got the story about the near miss of her flight fiasco. They bounced her from line to line to get her oversized bag checked. Made the flight just before they closed the door. Another example of why Miami International is one of the worst airports in the world. And that includes many third world nations.

Glad to hear the house is once again yours. Leave me a spot for the camper. I hope the October trip meet up works out.

Give me a few weeks to enjoy the solitude first.

Glad she got back okay and hope you survive without her!

Unrelated, your multitude of TR's has inspired me to get started on mine since we are 73 days out. I will be doing a semi live report this time. Last time was challenging b\c while the fam was sleeping, I didn't have a good spot to work on the TR. This time at BLT, we should have a desk in the bedroom where I can go to work on my tablet. At leas that is the plan!

“If that guy could write this drivel, then I certainly do something better,” kind of inspiration? Good luck and let us know where the report lands.

Greetings from the surface of the sun. MK has to be 99 degrees today. If Ellen ' Energy adventure was here, I'd ride it over and over again.

Well, it is August! In Florida! Stay as cools you can and avoid heat stroke. Sure you are going to have a blast even with the heat.

And sometimes, in the MK, you can spice them up yourself...

We’re Not Worthy.

You've been playing a lot of tennis lately.

Soda spitting funny.

I keep checking the 1st page for updated trips. Am I really the only DISDad that's going to be there from Nov 1 - 8th?

If I can find out who has CJ's credit card number I can join you.

...if you buy me a ticket, book me a room, and get me some transportation, then I'll be there with you. :lmao:

Great minds think alike.

...This is why I don't knock the A/C rides like IASW :thumbsup2...

I like it as long as my MIL isn't singing along the whole ride. :scared1:

Nowhere near as hot here today. Cool, and up until now, fairly overcast. Naturally we decided to hit the pool. Zero crowds, maybe 2 dozen max for a huge pool, and the water was heated, so big bonus, we all had a blast.

Sounds like a great day.

...Since last Friday we have traveled about 800 miles for soccer and some family time. Two games for DS, including a win today, and to watch to other games at the World Cup.

Only one more weekend for the travel team, with the semi-finals next Saturday and the finals on Sunday. And luckily those games are back in the same city we have traveled to 3 times in the last week. ...

Well worth the time though.

Dude, happy wife, happy life ;)

That isn't necessarily true, though the opposite is a given.

Everything is made better with monkeys.

Where is the Tag Fairy when you need her?

Nice

...I don't know what is wrong with me. I guess this is my version of a mid-life crisis. ....

I can think of others that would be more fun at least in the short-term, but glad you are doing what needs to be done for your health.

Randall, Oh mighty keeper of the DIS keys, please add the Nicely * to the front page for a trip 5/9-5/15 at Kidani. Thank you!

SWMBO and the kids have tentatively decided on the TS meals for our trip next year. SWMBO - Boma + 1 still to pick for the 20th anniversary dinner. DS - Chef Mickey, DD - Akershus, I picked Garden Grill because everyone likes it. Plenty of characters and buffets but at least that way nobody goes away hungry.

There are dangers being home alone, bored and a Disney trip coming up. It started when I heard someone on a podcast talking about a package for F&W. For $199, it includes special seating areas around World Showcase where you can eat and drink at a table. You also get a bottle of wine, special F&W glass, commemorative Magic Band, a $50 gift certificate and admittance to one of the late night parties. Don't really care about the wine, wine glass and MB but the gift certificate and party admittance alone is worth around $130. That is my justification and I am sticking to it.

Other than hitting a couple of booths a time or two, I never really enjoyed F&W so I thought I would splurge. Also booked two "Mixology Seminars," for $15 each. Oct. 7, is a The Fladgate Partnership (ports) and the 8th is Beam/Suntory (cocktails, including BOURBON). Attending the party Oct. 9 before the kid arrives late that night. Could be fun.

In order to take full advantage of this I added a day at SSR for the 7th. First time for that resort. May come up a day early so Norm and Jim, we might be able to get together before you guys leave. Anyone else at Epcot those days, chances are I will be there, so let me know.

Page One Updated! :thumbsup2

While you are at it oh great one, edit mine to include October 7th at SSR.

Pretty good choices. What are you thinking about for the + 1?

Nice splurge. SWMBO is thinking an actual meal vs. a buffet but we will see what happens. We didn't get park hoppers so I've encouraged her to look at the resorts or DTD so we aren't limited by what park we are at on our anniversary.

Hey guys. Got back from a long weekend in NYC with the wife. Spent Fri in and around times square, and had a wedding on long island yesterday. Good times. Got home early this morning to celebrate my little guy turning 3. Had a great day.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Had a great experience at Garden Grill, it's on our list next year..

That sounds like a pretty sweet package, wine aside (not a huge wine fan, just have enough to do my job properly).Really want to do F&W again..

I've woken up to alot worse things!

Excellent cause. But isn't hockey the only sport in Canada?:rotfl2::rotfl:

Lol. Not at all. You write them with tremendous wit and humor. Very enjoyable!

I like your idea better than Norm's!

My laid back weekend did not last too long!
Today was Church, followed up by a quick change and off to the Pittsburgh Zoo for a Girl Scout event, followed by another quick stop home to get the DDs changed. Dropped one off at a friend's for swimming, the other one went with us to a 1 yo Bday party....THEN DW went to a work meeting while I stopped home to getthe youngest DD changed and head over to swim with oldest and her friend.....and FINALLY home... after hanging out and having a beer (or 2). I ended up cutting my grass in the near dark!

Hectic day but lots of fun to be had. School is on the horizon, so trying to fit in as many fun days as possible!

Sounds like fun. I lived in NY for almost 30 years and never made it closer to NYC than the Catskills. Maybe someday.

I got sick on greek wine once in high school and it took me a couple of decades before I would touch it again, but I have found I like some of them now. Always planning on making mead if I ever get enough honey off the hives.

Better you than me.

Morning guys!

Good morning David and the rest of you late comers.

Last day of high heat and humidity for a little while I am hoping. IF we can make it through until Thursday with no rain, I might be able to work ground and lay plastic for my cole crop study and then start sweet potato harvest next weekend.
