morning guys. Not alot going on, waiting on other people so I can get something done. Watching it rain, drinking some coffee.

Matt

Yes, I do mind. ::yes::

Made a bet with myself who would be the first to take a shot and you were a close second.

Happy Tuesday Everyone! One week to go before the trip. Missed another few days.

Hope all are well and I'm off to catch up on the weekend and I skipped Monday.:thumbsup2...

And now we know why you came in first Paul

Hi,My name is Carl am I still welcome here Ramdall?

Morning Carl, always welcome here.

My youngest DD had some Target gift cards left over from her LAST Bday. My DW let her use the rest of it today. This one was def Dad approved. And you'll notice she's wearing a Pirates jersey and hat...my tom boy for sure.

Finally found time to upload the picture of all 4 pretty baby trophies DS won. Only because a friend from DW's work called asking me to look at court documents for her boyfriend to see when his next court date is (was today, warrant being issued, was never told court date by attorney). So posting this then trying to get a bit of sleep before im being woken up again.

Well done on both counts.

T-minus 1 hour till the nemesis & family get here….. time for me to hide all my beer and bacon. I'm sure there will be pics to follow! :goodvibes

Heaven help the State of Connecticut. And Bambi and Mel.

We may have to find a new location this year Randall....Poly Pool being closed and all....:headache:

Tambu Lounge is still open but not nearly as appealing an atmosphere as before construction.

Heard from a few reliable sources that Ohana is closing in November for a six month rehab.

Before Barry starts crying unconsolably, I was kidding.

Yesterday Stretch had his big doctor appointments to talk about how we're going to go about reconstructing his year. To say we were let down would be a gross understatement. We could do a prosthetic ear which has a whole range of issues that makes it unappealing. Our other option would be reconstruction. the method this doctor prefers isn't usually done until he's 10 although he'd be will to do it sooner. That has to be done before we can open the ear canal. We were led to believe by the first doctor that he'd be a great candidate to not need a hearing aid after the surgery. His partner who would do the surgery said he's 50/50. he also hinted that with how good hearing aid technology has come he doesn't understand why anyone would need bilateral hearing. Not at all the answer we were looking for or expecting. Right now Stretch can't wear his aid with a hat or bike helmet. Without it he has a hard time picking out sounds on his right. There's a major reason right there I can think of to have two working ears. I'm done venting for now. We're keeping an eye out for get togethers for families with this condition around the country so we can meet other doctors and get a second opinion. Looks like the next one is early summer next year.

Very sorry to hear Corey. Great idea to reach out to other families and meeting other doctors. Knowledge is power.

And never concern yourself about venting here.

Waiting in Dr office for MRI results.

So what your sayin' is Norm is invited, but Randall is not.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
.

It's a great feeling to be on the A-list. :lmao:

Yesterday Stretch had his big doctor appointments to talk about how we're going to go about reconstructing his year. :thumbsup2

Prayers.

Randall, when were you on my laptop?

Still cheaper than the curved screen TV. :lmao:

We are eating at Kona again in October trip, but I am not a fan of all the construction there. I've noticed it more than the others.

Is that Randall in the window and Carl in the ladder? :lmao:

I wouldn't object to a meetup at some point. But im kinda awkward in social settings lol. Fair warning im probably young enough to be most of yalls son. Lol. At least from pics I have seen of disdads it seems I may be thier childs age.

You must have seen the picture of CJ?:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Uhm, but blame my childs medical issue for his large appetite due to burning calories quickly. Anf he likes cheese. So the fried cheese sticks he was all over, but shared with me because I asked (he enjoys sharing and feeding others if he can). Then the fair cheeseburger was about the size of an Olive Garden soup cup plate (no clue what those plates are called.. the one under the soup cup. Seems like a waste of a clean dish in my opinion)

If we get him his own meal he wants to eat about half then take it home for later. The further from home or the more perishable means the more he wants to save it. Grr.

DS needs (yes, not wants) fried cheese whenever it is on the menu.:thumbsup2 Pretty much a must when we go out to dinner. At 14, he actually eats almost everything in the house. It looks like Market basket around here.:rolleyes1 Hopefully DW gets back to work soon stocking the shelves.:lmao::lmao:

Pretty much everyone here is young enough to be my son. :lmao:

First stop on Barry's Eastern Seaboard family road trip.

A nice afternoon / evening with Barry, Brent, and all the wives and kids.

Well done gentlemen!:thumbsup2

Success! I got all of the ADRs that we had wanted and got Penny in for an 8am BBB at the Castle on our first full MK day. Unfortunately CRT is closed during our trip, but we are doing Akershus on our EP day. I think I'll take the rest of the day to relax.

Congrats on getting the ADR's done. We are still changing our for the trip next week. It's ADR and FP+ roulette around here.:headache:

I did get the Monday night game vs the Eagles. Mark, I can send you photos since we sit on the visitors side about 11 rows up. If your boys have any particular favorites let me know.

Somehow I missed this earlier. Thanks David! Are you sure I shouldn't try to arrange travel to Indy instead?:confused3

They both really like Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy. But really, anyone on the team is good with us. Especially now that Desean Jackson is gone.:rolleyes1

Welcome to New England!:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: I had never been seasick before. Grew up on the water out here. Went on a whale watch out of Boston last year 2 with 5 foot seas. The most miserable day ever for me. The rest of the family was fine the whole time. They still joke with me about how sick I was.

Some of us were not meant for the sea. I got seasick on a paddleboat once. :headache:

Good morning gentlemen,

Very sad news yesterday.

Sorry to hear that, Corey. I hope you can get the answers you need.

We met up with Barry around 2:30... did the Niagara Fury movie, walked the Falls, then over to Clifton Hill. Then out to dinner until about 8:00 ish...
Brent joined around 5:00...

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Did Brent bring any of that beer section with him?

Afternoon, your bad idea for the day:

Just make sure you hit the gas really hard to get through that first rotation.

Whats up guys.....my name is Matt ive been 4 times this year last december than september for food and beer...and in may for starwars weekends and that scheduled for december 1-10 this year..my son is 4 and loves it to the max...and so does my wife.......glad to be here.......pirate:

Advanced Improvisational Engineering

Looks good to me. What could go wrong. That dude clearly gets paid by the hour. 6 hours to put up the ladder, 5 minutes to change the build and 6 hours to disassemble. :lmao::rotfl2::thumbsup2

You guys sure have been chatty so as usual, no catching up. Welcome, prayers, congratulations, condolences and bacon all around.

Chaos as usual now that the family is all back under one roof and the work chaos is getting worse. This growing season started out well but when the rains hit it has all been down hill. Over 3 inches of rain in less than 36 hours this past weekend and more in the forecast for today. My little pumpkin patch needs spraying and too wet to get at it but if I don't, I'll have about 1500 disappointed pre-K-1st graders. Long range forecast is calling for an early Autumn, cold winter and lots of precipitation.

Still on the green side of the sod though so things could be worse.

Sorry the weather hasn't cooperated. We are due for a good hard rain tomorrow, but the weather up here has been splendid. Forecasts have been made for another one of those Polar Vortex's in September. I just wish those Canadians would keep the door closed.

:hourglass:hourglass:hourglass HAPPY BIRTHDAY Phillip :hourglass:hourglass:hourglass

Happy Belated Philip!

Marathon weekend you say? It just so happens I am going to be there then. Would you mind if I meet up with you sometime? Sounds like it could be fun. You guys wouldn't be drinking adult beverages during this event, would you?

Don't do it! It's a trap. CJ will plan to lose his credit card as soon as you get there and make you pay for everything.:lmao::lmao:

Evening, Gents. First time today I've been able to get to the boards. Work kept me preoccupied.
I was supposed to take vacation tomorrow to got o a local amusement park (Kennywood...it's where they filmed the movie Adventureland) but the forecast looks to be thunderstorms all day. So I go from a day at an amusement park to meeting with our CIO instead.
I've got a bad feeling about this.

So it's a dark ride then.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

And Robin Williams too...

RIP Robin Williams. He was a once in a lifetime talent.

It's a good joke, but sorry to hear you didn't get the hot girl. My FIL tells me I'm his favorite son-in-law. He only has one daughter.

Are you sure he only has one SIL?:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: Maybe DW has a secret life on the side?

Hi,My name is Carl am I still welcome here Ramdall?

Wait, I think I know you???:confused3 And who's Ramdell?:rotfl2::rotfl2: "Come into the light, all are welcome."

My youngest DD had some Target gift cards left over from her LAST Bday. My DW let her use the rest of it today. This one was def Dad approved. And you'll notice she's wearing a Pirates jersey and hat...my tom boy for sure.

She's influenced 2 of her little friends to start playing with Star Wars characters, too.

Nice job on the Star Wars :thumbsup2, not so much with the Pirates gear.:rolleyes1

Morning...

Early shift today, boss is away and there are some crucial operations to be conducted this morning, apparently I am the only reliable person to do it. :rotfl2:

Some folks never learn :rotfl2:

More importantly though, is the fact that I should be hitting the one year mark for my Disney trip! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Might need to grab myself a ticker tonight. :thumbsup2

One year you say.....Hmmmm.....maybe a bounce back in my future again?:confused3 Do you have any estimated dates on the calendar?

Morning. 1 more day until the return of school here. :woohoo:

September 4th here. The good thing is we get to stay in school until June 25th next year.:headache::mad::mad:

morning guys. Not alot going on, waiting on other people so I can get something done. Watching it rain, drinking some coffee.

Matt

I guess that's better than having to clean up the mess after they do something they are not supposed to.:headache::mad: Nice day here today with a full day of rain expected tomorrow. Oh...and good morning to you as well.

Made a bet with myself who would be the first to take a shot and you were a close second.

I would have signed on just to be first had I known.

Waiting in Dr office for MRI results.

That would be a realllllllly long drive back to Delaware the next day ;)

Although, there are some roads here in Indy you might be able to help us with. Are you available for consulting??? :rotfl2:

: I'm never left in charge, which is a terrific thing. I'd just send everyone home. .

Oh not left in charge, just that the ones left in charge are no competent to do the particular job at hand.

Depression is no joke. A good reminder to make sure your loved ones know they are indeed loved. Soon, you'll have the entire Tri-State area! Those guys have to be on steroids.

Nope it got pretty bad a while back but I dealt with it. Obviously things got better I turned my life around. Kind of relapsed December - April after Dad passed but I think I got through. I can see why so many comedians use humour to fight, I am often compared to one.

I'll settle for two of the three states, I can't be greedy.

You mean you have a trip planned and no ticker - never too soon for a

Don't want to jinx it. Not actually booking till January. Was going to September but TA told us to hang on, might get a deal when CAA does their Disney promo ( our TA is a big Disney nut too)

Not sure how you feel about it but to me, hearing is more important then how it looks. Now our situation with Audrey isn't as important but we had her hand looked at to see if we could have it reconstructed but it turned out we could to a degree but cost her sone if it's functionality. We felt she could live with the deformity and it be far better to have full use if her hand then issues just to stop people from looking.

Did Brent bring any of that beer section with him? .

Keep work away from me! No mas! No mas!
;One year you say.....Hmmmm.....maybe a bounce back in my future again?:confused3 Do you have any estimated dates on the calendar? September 4th here.
We start driving on the 18th, at Disney August 23 till September 5.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

And the verdict is ....

Here's to hoping for positive results.:drinking1

...torn meniscus and some arthritis. Possible solutions - surgery to fix the tear, more time out if arthritis is bad, shot (only once or twice), or suck it up buttercup. I think my plan may be to drink more.

Oh not left in charge, just that the ones left in charge are no competent to do the particular job at hand.

Not competent staff? We have those here as well. I think we pronounce it management. :lmao:

Some of us were not meant for the sea. I got seasick on a paddleboat once. :headache:

So, your career goal of pirate may need to change? :sail: :lmao:

Well, maybe not the secret life of DW, but rumor is that FIL could have many unconfirmed DNA children out there. :lmao:

The kid finally sent me pictures from one of the shark tagging expeditions. Notice they are copyrighted. Here are a few...

Oh, and some may think this fits in the Bad Idea category.

What they use to implant the tags

Before she got to play with the fishes, she had to do a turn at recording data

They pump seawater through the sharks' gills while they are on the boat. You want to avoid this end.

This was a female bull shark I think. Getting her data and ready for the tag

Measuring

I believe she said this one was a bit over 7 feet.

To learn more about the work of the RJ Dunlap Marine Conservation Program (RJD) and their conservation efforts go here... http://rjd.miami.edu

She goes back out on the boat on Thursday. There is a space for me but she refused to let me go because she wants them to take her seriously. Not sure what that means.

Cool pictures CJ. I have two questions for you:

 1. how do they catch the sharks?
 2. Was that her shiv in the first picture? :lmao:

Need a little assist as it has been ages since our last trip....family is trying to pick out their individual choices for table service meal but we aren't doing park hoppers. How do you know which park will have the EMHs when you try to make your dining reservations?

Our AAA agent said "you are easy" when I booked this, and I said just wait. Now that SWMBO and the kids are involved they are already trying to add days, resorts, changes etc. :rolleyes2
