Monday morning ownage!

Happy Monday! Well, not really.

Had a fun weekend in Maine until the sky's opened up around 3PM yesterday. No fish caught despite several attempts. DD hurt her ankle playing tennis ball football....don't ask. Lots of camps, hoop games and busy work time this week. Heading to Sox game Wednesday with my nemi and Paul. Should be a fun meet up.

Top O the Mornin Dads. Missed a thread close and already far into the new one while we were at the DaWorld. Lots of catching up to do but congrats to the kids, prayers to those in need and welcome.

Got back in last night after long delay at MCO and a lost bag. Despite the return hassles we had a great trip and it was an enjoyable family time trip. Here are a couple of pics from fishing last week. We caught 24 bass.

Where did you leave from? We did the fishing trip a couple years ago and planning to go again in August. Would be cool to be fishing in the lake in Epcot. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

OK - what'd I miss??? :confused3

Just got back from a week at the beach - Hilton Head. Haven't been since 2001 - glad to see that not a whole lot had changed other than a ton more people know about the place! BUSY!

Glad you made it home safely despite the set backs. Those are always the trips e everyone remembers and talks about at family gatherings.

Morning guys.

Morning David.

Morning Guys.

Morning Darcy.

You weren't driving one of these beauties, were you?

family_truckster.jpg

I would totally drive that if given the opportunity. Love the Family Roadster!

Oh...Well done Norm! Maybe you should practice a little more and hit the pro circuit. :thumbsup2

First off…
Here’s your bad idea of the day:

stupid%20people%20301.jpg

:rotfl2::lmao: I know a few people that would probably try that.:faint:

Proud father moment....

One of the twins this morning woke up, came down stairs and the first thing she asked DW?

I have been in bed thinking what 7,8, & 9 will be like. DW was like what are you talking about?

DD says Star Wars of course! I'm off to buy her a pony and a car today ;)

I love that kid :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well if Paul is going you can tell your nemesis is not Canadian. ;) :lmao:

Not sure what you guys are seeing at the bottom of your page, but I got her:

Any single DISDads might want to give her a call.

Tournament over. I lost 3-6, 4-6. Not too bad for 20 years between tournaments. Maybe next year. I celebrated with the last of my Basil Hayden KY Bourbon.

Well done. I am talking about the bourbon part, not the tennis. Considering no training and 20 years between tournaments, give yourself a pat on the back.

So we slept in the rental car in the middle of nowhere'sville West Virginia until the agency opened up.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play? Not a good start but it seems you recovered well.

Got home a little bit ago. Was greeted by a neighbor informing us the dog was barking. It was in a closed house and yes, I could hear muffled barks when we got out of the car. This from a person that had a beagle that was outside and barking all the time. Sheesh. Luckily she only said something to DD or i would not be so tempered with my comments.

It was a nice get away. Decided not to go out yesterday, the boat was packed and the temp made Animal Kingdom feel Arctic. Unfortunately the kid that is still dating my daughter made it through the certification process without drowning. The Pirate Princess got the photo bug again and took some pictures. Here are a few...

Underwater Selfie

Florida's version of a lobster

Scorpion Fish

Spotted Ray chilling (somewhat of a rare find)

Same ray checking out the neighborhood

Laundry and packing for the Boston/DC/W. PA. trip. Early flight out tomorrow so it will be a busy night. Meeting up with Jim for a Red Sox game on Wednesday. Can't wait to see Fenway.

Cool pics! Does she take her shiv with her on dives? :confused3

Sorry you have to see the Red Sux :lmao:

Not cool. :rolleyes2

Had a good lunch today. My mom and her sister drove down and we had Moonlite BBQ for lunch - the all you can eat BBQ. I'm still stuffed. Youngest dd had fun at the self-serve ice cream.

Hope her ankle is ok.

I think the pro circuit is off the table, but hopefully, I can have fun and lose some weight. There are frequent HS tennis coach job openings here in town. I think they make a teacher do it from time to time. I don't know what the money is, but it might be a good side job.

Can I give her a call. How about a hug? :crowded:

It's called target advertising... It's based off of what you've been searching recently in your internet browser...

Soooooo Randall....

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

What was that story about Randall posting a picture on that last thread? :confused3

Well done. I am talking about the bourbon part, not the tennis. Considering no training and 20 years between tournaments, give yourself a pat on the back.

.

Thanks. I showed my dds your pictures and they want to scuba dive now.

Sorry you have to see the Red Sux :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Honest typo ;)

Sure. :stir: :lmao:

Welcome back Scott and well done Norm.

Thanks.

Not bad at all. And considering you didn't mention any major injuries, I'd definitely consider it a win. :thumbsup2
.

No major injuries. Knee is sore, but doing ok. It hurt before and may need some specialist care. But, I can put on a compression sleeve and still play with some pain. I'm hoping to play thru it while I can for the summer/fall weather.

‘Morning all…
Back to work it is. Dang. But we enjoyed a short excursion out to Atlanta to take in the DCI Southeastern Regionals at the Georgia Dome. Most of the seriously demented band geeks will know what that is and I’ll spare the more normal among you the details except to say that we enjoyed the performances mightily (The Blue Devils won it, followed by The Cadets, Blue Coats and Carolina Crown just in case you’re really interested).
o.

Of course we wanted to know who won it.

First off…
Here’s your bad idea of the day:

stupid%20people%20301.jpg

Thst's how that crack got there. :lmao:

My, my but that’s a whole lot of strenuous activity for a founding member of Team Sparrow.

But this is more like it. Long live Team Sparrow! pirate:
(but congrats on the tournament play as well… nice work :thumbsup2)

Thanks. Don't want to lose my Team Sparrow spot. I'll make it up with some extra couch time.

Proud father moment....

DD says Star Wars of course! I'm off to buy her a pony and a car today ;)

You could have got her a Lego Star Wars set. :thumbsup2

Sorry you have to see the Red Sux :lmao:

Not cool. :rolleyes2

Honest typo ;)

Nice exchange fellas. Going mostly to see Fenway but I guess I will watch the game. Still need to do laundry and pack but there is plenty of time right?

And Paul, of course she has the shiv when diving.

I showed my dds your pictures and they want to scuba dive now.

I know a place where they can get certified. Just saying.

‘Morning all…

We also took about an hour or so to checked out the “World of Coke” Museum. Mostly because we had free admission and it was in walking distance to the hotel and the stadium. If you like memorabilia, it’s a decent diversion. The “grand reveal” of the locked vault holding the secret formula is rather silly (as were several other exhibits to be honest), but the mass tasting room is a winner. Imagine Club Cool at Epcot multiplied by ten. There are supposedly better than sixty different soft drinks you can try. I don’t have any good pictures handy right now, but the web is here to provide…

All I got was a X I think this is what you tried to post... ;)
Looks awesome... :thumbsup2

That’s an image I’d like to see in person right now.
Glad the trip was a great success, I’ll wait until you get over the withdrawal symptoms before welcoming you home, but in the meantime I say: start planning the next trip… now.
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: That pic is just too funny ......... Thanks and next trip is planned for December for the holidays including New Years Eve - can't wait.

That's stuff for the old Master Card commercials - priceless :thumbsup2
That's so much better than waking up screaming "I hope they're not as bad as Episodes 1, 2 3!"

Beach Club docks. Fished in the lake there, by Swan & Dolphin, by DHS and ended in World Showcase. We did once before from Saratoga Springs and this one was much better - location, location, location.

Great Pics and safe & enjoyable travels.

That should heal up quickly, it's not too invasive...
My knees been quite sore for months now. It's up and down, some days the pain is intense, other days livable. I can see the future (as I control the universe and all) and I know I am going to rip the crap out of it in October on our Oasis of the Seas cruise. If not on the Rock Climbing wall, then on the FlowRider for sure.
I have been putting off seeing the Dr. hoping it's just muscle aches, but am going to have to see him soon.
My mother had knee replacement done...3 times!!! She wore one right out... lasted her about 15 years before redoing it.

Good luck with the recovery.
Wow...that's a testament to an active lifestyle when you can wear out that many knees! I appreciate the words of encouragement.

Tournament over. I lost 3-6, 4-6. Not too bad for 20 years between tournaments. Maybe next year. I celebrated with the last of my Basil Hayden KY Bourbon.
Well done, sir. Quite an accomplishment.

OK - what'd I miss??? :confused3

Just got back from a week at the beach - Hilton Head. Haven't been since 2001 - glad to see that not a whole lot had changed other than a ton more people know about the place! BUSY!

The drive made me never want to take a road trip ever again. Let's just say we had a tire issue on the rental car at 3am (yes we drove through the night), and we had to keep enough air in it to make it to the rental agency parking lot until they opened up to get a replacement vehicle. I could've put on the spare but it was a mini spare and we had 480 miles to go. I wasn't going to drive that on a mini.

So we slept in the rental car in the middle of nowhere'sville West Virginia until the agency opened up.

I guess it could've been worse, but the normal 13 hour drive took us 22. :scared:

But the driving fun wasn't done yet. We heard through the powers of the interwebs the night before our drive back that the north bound tunnel in I-77 in VA was closed due to a tractor trailer accident. Knowing this area is usually a bottleneck in normal traffic...we decided to go all the way across SC and take I-75 north and add another 1.5 hours to our trip to avoid an hassle.

We left at 6am and go home at 9:45p. About 3 hours longer than what it could've been if we had a working tunnel in VA!

But we're all home safely and that's what counts. :beach:

Hope all is well with all of you. Prayers to those that need them!
But it makes for a great story!
