We happened to be out of town during that last incident as my young’en was taking part in the Macy’s parade that particular year. Oddly enough, he’ll be up there taking part again in this year’s rendition of that little event.

Morning guys. It was great seeing some "old" timers on here yesterday. Who went out and bought lottery tickets yesterday? All those guys posting had to be an omen.

I remember that year well too. We were driving to Disney World. I took my turkey induced nap then woke up and drove through the night. We stopped near Atlanta to get some gas and breakfast and I got my phone out and saw all kinds of posts on Facebook about suspended Dis accounts. How quickly things can escalate.

So I'm sitting here watching football, and my wife is looking over our WDW plans for our Feb trip for the 57th time, you know, just to make sure we don't need to make any changes.

Out of the blue she says to me, "huh. I just realized I didn't book a Biergarten meal for us on this trip. That'll be a first."

So, no surprise, we're ending this relationship. If any of you have an extra room I can crash in (Americans and English only, I have standards after all) I would be really appreciative.

It seems he gets to make that hike twice. Once back in high school and this time with the university’s band. I’m told that WCU will be the first unit off the line smack at the front of the parade. Supposedly some of the members are likely be commandeered as well for small cameos as part of the pre-show activates at the beginning of the broadcast.

Unfortunately, we have to watch it on the telle this time around. Would have been nice to have gone up there again, but it was a choice between that and paying tuition (and every other bill), so it just ain’t happening. We’ll have to pinch our pennies and go back to Disney in the near to drown out our sorrows. At least he should be fairly easy for us to spot if NBC offers up the right camera angle that morning. The trombones are always at the front of their parade formations and he’ll be on the first row, forth from the left (an itty bitty speck within the big picture, but still there none the less).

I was down and out yesterday with a nasty little bug that DS brought home from daycare. And right in the middle of that, I get a text from DW saying the wind caught her car door as she was opening it and it scratched the car next to her in the parking lot. The woman that owned the other car went bat crap crazy and insisted that DW turn over her insurance information. Nevermind this was one of a few dozen scratches and dents in the car already, but whatever. Spoke to my insurance today and we are not on the hook for anything. The deductible only applies if our car requires service. DW did take a picture to make sure that our insurance only pays for that one scratch. I have a feeling she was hoping to get a new fender out of the deal.
