Ha! I did it. Just a shot of me and a few of my Heisman trophy winning buddies.

Now you will all be subject to endless pictures of F&W yummies and me and DD9.

It is a cold and rainy day here, which makes me want to return to WDW even more next year. Still trying to figure out next year's trip. I'm wondering how VBR would be during Thanksgiving or Christmas weeks. It's a way to kill time at the office.

And that’s as close as I’ll ever be allowed to get to those nice new little structures…
:rotfl2:

One option to consider is to book there for one night. In thinking about our DVC points, I want to stay at THV, VGF, and Poly once done. But, the per night point cost is huge. It is a hassle, but maybe one or two nights would let me check it out. I definitely wouldn't go to the park those days, and just sit inside and enjoy the room.

Which one are you? :lmao:

Now, we can all experience the year of Chris thru photography.

Morning guys,

Made it back yesterday. The last day there turned out pretty well. The yellow orb came out from behind the thunderstorms and the Brit was able to fry like a piece of bacon by the pool. I stayed in the shade of the Tiki Bar. Jonesing to get underwater so he is flying back next week and hopefully better weather and diving conditions will let us do it. Found out they make finger rubber things so he can keep the decapitated one dry while diving.

We did VBR one Thanksgiving. Nice. Shutters had a Thanksgiving menu that was pretty good. Look at it this way, it beats a cold rainy day in Kentucky.

Afternoon gents

I am here to kindly request a DISDad number. I've bounced around a little on the disdads.com board and was directed back over here if I wanted one. I came upon DISDads from seeing a number, went from number to google to disdads.com to the boards and the podcast. I figured if I got one I'd throw it in my signature for disboards and on my blog to be there for other interested Dads to stumble upon and go down the bacon filled rabbit hole.

We just got back a on Saturday, and it honestly wasn't that bad. There were walls up along the bridge, in front of Casey's and The Plaza restaurant, but I don't think any existing walkways were narrowed by more than a few inches.
Thanks for the info

Afternoon. Glad to see we haven't hit Halloween yet but today we are getting our Christmas gift packs out.

On the other hand, there are done nice beer packs arriving that could make a serious dent on my wallet.

Afternoon gentlemen,

The house is mostly reassembled. I'm taking a break from endless laundry and making a hole in the garage for one of DW's Pinterest projects.

Happy Birthday to the Red Headed Twins!
Again, happy birthday to the twins!:dance3:
A joyous HBD to Chaos and Mayhem
(And a wish for quick healing to your now suffering wallet.)
Thanks guys. Stretch and I will be putting Lego set together from now until Christmas. Then it'll start all over again. We have a good system down. I gt out the pieces he needs and he puts them together. I just do some of the real putzy little things and quality control.

Welcome to the clubhouse. :welcome:

Thought I would post a couple of pics from the trip.

To keep this Disney related, if you are on a Disney cruise that has a stop in Key West, you may or may not what to get off the boat if it arrives during Fantasyfest. Especially a no if you have kids and don't want to explain things about human anatomy. This is an annual event at or near Halloween. Definitely R rated.

This is at the Boat House Restaurant/Bar which is on the water. Great place to go. Food was tasty and reasonable. Drinks are good pours and the staff are friendly. Patrons are always in a good mood and ready to party. And, a bit less touristy than Duval Street.

Fantasyfest is dress up or down time. This is Captain Morgana. Please don't mail it to the Brit's wife, I plan on using this for blackmail to fund my retirement.

I'll give you a minute if your coworkers or spouse are looking over you shoulder....

All safe?

If you are on a cruise stop in KW during their happy hour, go there. "Small Bites" are half off along with many drinks. Had a shrimp appetizer that had over a dozen beer battered shrimp. Very good. But a warning, it will be crowded. Fortunately for us, the monsoon made it difficult to get there (they closed the streets to traffic) so we easily found a seat at the bar.

We also toured Duval Street afterward and it was a riot. Would post some pics but I would be permanently banned from the forums.

Sloppy Joe's. Hemingway's bar back when he was an icon in KW. Had many a good time there in the past. It used to be a dive bar but has since expanded and gone commercial. Hemingway would not approve. Still if you are in KW, you have to stop there just to say you did.

I will not confirm or deny that topless patrons were dancing on the stage. This is a Fantasyfest thing and not a normal occurrence.

And of course, watch out for finger eating bar stools or you will end up here

But I did have this guy to keep me company while waiting for the Brit to get the top of his finger chopped off

It wasn't the best of times but we have stories to laugh about for many years to come.

Still cold. Not so rainy. I think living in the camper in CJ's driveway sounds really good right now.

You could have posted those pictures. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Yup. I have to agree that the ocean was quite pleasant.

I'm the one who looks least likely to win a Heisman. However, I'm also the only one currently employed.:duck:

Told that you I have plans for all that money. You must have some great endorsement contracts. :thumbsup2

But they taste so good. Any advance previews?

I have the laundry responsibility in my house as well. I try to do laundry once a day or every other day. I try to get the dds to fold their own laundry. :laundy:

Hole in the garage :confused3

Basically a big space along one of the walls. Our mud room is completely inadequate. So we're setting up a bench and locker area in the garage. I hope to have it done before the snow flies.

Howdy fellow dads, hope everyone is doing well. I'm starting to look into DL ADR even though I know it's not as big of a deal as WDW but there are a few restaurants i def would like to try during the trip. Sean and I are making a joint ADR at Ariels grotto to celebrate our DD's birthdays, I think they will love that!

How do I post a photo on here from my phone? I'm sure you all are dying to see pictures from my trip.
Oh boy, this should be good. :coffee:

I hear the mods gave up on this forum. Post away! :rotfl::rotfl:

Nice ****.
{guess that word doesn't get through the censors}

Thanks for the pictures and write up... I hope to get to Key West someday. It looks like a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

We started throwing around the idea of DL too. I'm curious to see what you come up with. :surfweb:

Good Evening Guys!!

No more morning updates, we packed up and left this morning. We were on the road at 9ish and just grabbed some sanche inch stuff at Publix and just ate in the van. Drove a bunch today and made it to Princeton WV. Exit 9 right at the Welcome Center. Tried to get into the Hampton but it was full, so we are at The Holiday Inn Express. Nice and clean, the lady at the front desk recommended a local Mexican restaurant. Great food and reasonably priced.

Our last day at Disney was pretty busy, I booked a breakfast at Ohanas and it was very good. It was an 8 am resisie so we started our day early. We went to Epcot with the Monorail in the AM to hit a couple of rides and some stuff in the World Showcase. We also were the first people to ride the Mexico ride, yay! Lol we got our own boat.

We then went to the MK we ran around and jumped on a bunch of rides and then watched wishes, we always close out our vacation this way.
Well guys thanks for reading, looks like I am back to normal life on Thursday. Restaurant will be open again!

Not sure if anyone posted this already or when this happen but it looks like they changed all the flavours at Club Cool. Beverly was still there but Out of Order.

Oh and by the way as a Canadian I would like to say that the new show at the Canadian pavilion just plain sucks... Not funny, not entertaining and completely not relevant. I actually sat and watched the whole thing...terrible!!!

Here is a pic of the new parking garage at DTD.
