Wednesday ownage.

Being serious for a minute on the DD talk stuff, and for what it's worth, we did the best we could at establishing a family environment of open communication on all subjects. As DD & DS earned trust and demonstrated responsibility we let them be as independent as they wanted to be, making sure we talked to them as much as possible. Good luck and you will all do great, as I shared previously that's why we all took the job of Dad.
:)

Well said.

My only job is to be a good role model for how boys are supposed to act and to hide the bodies if they make her cry.

Well done. :lmao:

I had a similar discussion with DS. I also added "You know your mother will cut it off if you do."

Maybe Paul can give you some cash to pay those therapy bills. :faint:

So we have our 13th anniversary coming up. DW asked what we should do. I told her I know a guy who took his wife on Tower of Terror 13 times for their 13th anniversary. For some reason she didn't go for it.

Good luck. I've said it before, but my DW broke her engagement ring band squeezing the handle so tight. Not going to attempt another ride, much less 13.

Just returned to work today after flying home from Orlando last night.

Hard to believe our trip is over already. We flew in to MCO on June 6, arrived at our off-site timeshare resort late Friday night, slept and then hit DAK on the 8th. Went to the parks most days (kids had a break on the 9th and we did TL on the 12th). On Father's Day we headed east to spend two nights on the beach in Melbourne, which was a nice relaxing way to end the vacation.

Sounds like a great trip. Welcome home.

Won't be for long if you keep wearing it out...;)

I do like it though. :thumbsup2

Thought you liked this one...

Killing time waiting for the Brit to fly into MIA so decided to look at the October trip. Chose the 13th for MNSSHP. Kind of looking forward to the party because it will be the first time we have seen it.

I want to do one decent dinner but am shying away from the signature restaurants. No ADRs at Be our Guest for the day I wanted (surprise) and I am too lazy right now to check other dates. Anyone try San Angel Inn or La Hacienda? The Pirate Princess went to one of them with Clyde and she said she enjoyed it. Problem is she can't remember which restaurant. Interested in anyone's take on them.

Don't hold it against her. It takes a lot of awesome to pull off a stunt like that. :thumbsup2

Good thing Bambi has some awesome to spare. :rolleyes1

What Andy said.

Still sad to see it pass, but that just means we can start planning the next trip!

Trip report coming soon (I hope)!

Sounds like a great trip. Welcome back but sorry that I had to say that.

People have been having some Photoshop fun with van Persie's goal from their first game against Spain a few days ago. Even a little bit of Disney.

If you haven't seen his header, you should check it out.

Hey guys! I'm surprised I haven't seen a camel in here yet today. :confused3

Looks like a lot of talk about "the talk" here. Fortunately, I was not the one to have it with our DD. It's bad enough I have to pick up bras laying around the house now  Still not right to see her get giggly when certain boys names come up. Shotgun will need to be cleaned the first time the boys show up. :rotfl2:

It's stupid hot today :faint: Where did spring go???

We did both of those restaurants on our last trip. We prefer La Hacienda de San Angel as opposed to the Inn. I generally find Disney food to be good not great. But at La Hacienda, it was great. I had the taco trio for my entrée. It's actually an appetizer but portion sizes are so stinkin' huge at Disney that I've just started ordering apps for my meal. Anyway, this was my second best Disney meal of all time. The best involved pretzel bread and cheese soup but that's not important right now.

At the Inn, I did the same thing- an app for an entrée. I had the tlacoyos. It was good enough I suppose, but I don't like how close the tables are and the service was pretty slow. If you choose this place, ask for a seat on the water. I don't know why, but I've always wanted to sit there.

All in all, I'd say go with the Hacienda. Both have a pretty limited menu but this was much nicer. The empanadas were a good dessert too.

She's a middle school teacher, I let her play the heavy. :lmao:

I'm scared of her now. :scared1:

First time for the MNSSHP? I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I am the man of my house, so naturally, I do the laundry. :laundy:

But, I won't pick up their clothes off the floor. If they want clean clothes, then they have to put them in the hamper.

If you are a normal size person. At my size, the entree is required.

Wow I did it again I fell behind. Did a quick scan now I'm caught back up.

Happy Father's Day to everyone. I had a pretty decent one. I had to work. When I got back home I got to open the iPad Air that was my gift. This is of course a combination of Father's Day, birthday, christmas gift since I will be missing two of them this year. I went and got a case with a keyboard for it. While I am gone it will pretty much be my computer... and I'm ok with that. Other than that we notified our housing office that we will be moving out and so we have some moving to do. Luckily we were able to use the military clause to break the lease with no penalty. So should be pretty interesting until I leave.

I've been able to get some of the DVC and Disney Visa pins along the way. With DTD construction and pins being removed for MB decorations, there may be fewer options.

Yeah that really bums me out I really like pin collecting. I was very distraught when I noticed they cleared half of the pin trading boot in Epcot out.

That looks like you had a good time. Let us know if you do write a report I would be happy to follow along.

Welcome home, glad to hear you had a good trip.

Just so that you know, the Flames got no better while you were away. ;) :lmao:

As long as they didn't get worse

...there are certain constants in life...death, taxes, Flames stinking...etc.

Oh that's nothing compared to some home teams.:sad2:

Today looked to be a rough day, but ended up a laugh and a half. We (myself, Mom, my brother and SIL) headed out to a storage locker Dad had to start cleaning it out. Mom wants to eliminate the expense. Threw out well over a dumpster in crap, including around a dozen boxes of stuff I left behind when I moved out of home, and lots of old stuff of my brothers, and stuff from family members who had passed on. We had a lot of laughs over the "treasures" we found, including old photo albums. Dad always wanted to clean it out, so we are getting it done. Hot dirty work, I'll need to use my puffers from the dust etc for a few days, but worth it.

Evening guys... Just got back from NJ for work. Took the Acela home, ended up sitting next to Bill Nye, the Science Guy for a stop before he got off in NY... Cool guy. No one seemed to notice who he was. Maybe I'm just a big nerd. :confused3

No, no he can't. DW spends it as quick as it comes in... :teacher:

We do San Angel Inn often. Food is so so, but the atmosphere is awesome. :thumbsup2

Sometimes going through stuff like that is a great therapy. I'm glad to hear there were some laughs involved.

Good morning guys!

That is pretty awesome. We love Bill here in our house.
