The only night it is being held while we are there is Sunday, October 5th so I wanted to get it booked asap just in case of a sell out. I know it's unlikely, but it would have really been a bummer to sit in my room and cry while the party was going on if we got shut out. It is DD's birthday present.

We are going to book that night as well. I doubt it will sell out. There is a chance the DVC discounted tickets will sell out.

Going to our first MNSSHP this October. The Pirate Princess will be flying to Orlando for part of the time and I have figure out the logistics before I buy the tickets. Hopefully it will be one of the DVC discount nights.

Tickets are that Sunday and Thursday. We thought about the Thursday, but I didn't like staying out that late the night before driving home the last time.

I’ll keep that in mind.
Do you think you can consume enough of them to generate the proper economies of scale needed to rocket those stocks skyward?
:scratchin

Good chance. Unless someone invents something like a giant sweet roll .....

And this is how you reheat the cinnamon roll in your hotel if you dont have a microwave

Yum! Giant cinnamon roll.

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: It looks really good! If you send 800 of them to Norm he'll make sure to send them to all the dads.:goodvibes

Absolutely. I'll send them out just like I always do. :lmao:

It was a good in eventful drive. So I had the ford focus for a rental I went back to enterprise to get a small SUV.

I am very happy with the way it worked out it's the Buick Enclave and it's like driving a lazy boy. All the gadgets makes it very nice to drive..

Those are comfy. I have the Pontiac Aztek. It is older, but similar frame. They are really comfortable.

Here is a picture of the Knights of Columbus at the 1st communion this weekend.

If someone sends me the processional one with the swords drawn, I'll post it.

Nice pictures David!

Had a pretty good afternoon today. District championship for our JV volleyball was today and we pulled a 2-0 win in the final. They are a great bunch of boys and it has been fun coaching them. One more tournament, a provincial open next weekend but that will be a reward for the year.

If you want to see a team totally unravelled, feel free to watch the Bruins game tonight. :headache: Not sure what it is about the Canadians and Rask, but every time we play them he seem to not be able to stop the puck from going in the net. Of course when we pass to the guy streaking out of the penalty box for a breakaway, it's not entirely helpful. Still shaking my head at that one.

Good luck. Would like to see both back in the finals for a rematch.
Good luck back at ya and agree from the point that "dynasty's" for the NHL would be great for the game in terms of a Cup Finals rematch and the two teams being in the finals 3 times each in the past 5 years. However, Montreal or Pittsburgh on paper is a better match-up for the Hawks. Plus the Hawks owe Montreal for '71.

Quick update....we stayed at the new Embassy Suites last night. It's right near the juncture of 535 and 192. Very nice place, great suite layout and the free breakfast is pretty elaborate. Not quite Crystal Palace but lots to eat and made while you wait choices as well. Picking up our Annual Passes was a bit time consuming because DVC complicates issues, but it worked out and so far they've gotten us through our room door without issue. We try them at MK tomorrow, so thinking happy thoughts. Lattah.
Wish we were there for a DISDads meet :thumbsup2

Congrats and kuddos for volunteering for the kids

I hope David doesn't mind, here are some pictures from facebook,

I think they like each other. :)

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing.

Hey guys. So left at 2300 last night and arrived in the Cape this morning.

It was a good in eventful drive. So I had the ford focus for a rental I went back to enterprise to get a small SUV. When I got there they told me they had a Chevy Equinox and a Hyundai Tuscan I looked at the two of them told the lady I wanted the Equinox. We go back inside and she looks for the keys and the guy next to her is renting it to someone else. My first thought is of course that's my luck lately. I tell her well I guess I will take the Tuscan. She says wait a minute and then she takes me out side and shows me another SUV but it would be way more than I'm willing to pay. She says ill give it to you for the same price as the Equinox. I of course say I will take it.

.

First glance it looked a bit like our Journey. Good sized car there.

Disney's telephone reservation line has been busy since 10AM this morning. I am guessing it has to do with the FD promotion and people booking like crazy. I'm trying to see if my room on October qualifies or not. If not, I can apply the bounce back promotion while I am there in August. Thought I would take the FD fro now and then change when there if it's a better deal. :thumbsup2

We are still kicking ourselves for not using the bounceback last year (well, when we finally figured where it was :rotfl2:) Needless to say, next year's trip budget will include enough to cover the down payment for the BB. :woohoo: We will not make the same mistake twice.

I though it was 867-5309?? :confused3
:lmao::lmao:

:lmao::lmao:

A couple of interesting notes on Poland:

The national coffee brand is Nescafé

Never tip, it causes restaurants to raise their cost

The people are very friendly and willing to help

The toilet paper from Russia is cheap. The Poles don't buy it because it makes your a$$ bleed. LMAO

I don't know if this is the current rules ( disdad travel?) but I remember using the bounceback offer once and had to change the dates. I still got to keep the discount.

I knew the whole tipping stuff in Europe was viewed that way. I didn't know about the TP. DW packs Charmin when we go to WDW.

‘Morning all…

That… is large.

Not the girl, the pastry; the girl is just right

I might be headed north west to see my Aunt I will let you know more when I do.

Cool. Didn’t know if they’d be letting you out of the Sandbox or not.
Well then I might best be more specific. I live just south of Charlotte right on the border between the two Carolinas.
If you do find yourself around there I’d be honored to buy you some Que and a Brew.

That's the number for Stacy's Mom. But be careful she is Jessie's Girl

:lmao: Nicely played gent’s
I’ve often worked all three of those tunes into the same set but never thought to roll ‘em together like that.
Might have to become a standard grouping in the future.

Good chance. Unless someone invents something like a giant sweet roll .....

Whoops! I do believe I need to be reconsidering my investment strategy then. :rotfl:

Excellent work. On all y’all’s part.
Congrats all around sir. :thumbsup2

Practical lessons in Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, International Relations,
and even lunacy (as nothing else could explain the Nesca-crud).
Who knew that travel could provide such a rounded education? :rotfl2:

Exactly. They also drive extremely aggressive.

Morning Guys.

Seems like Spring has finally decided to stick around. Beautiful morning here today. Too bad I'm in the office.

Have a good one and David, do you need anyone to send you some real coffee and TP?

Absolutely. I'll send them out just like I always do. :lmao:

We'll have to plan a time to meet up. Maybe hit the HM or something together.

I knew we could count on you as always to send everything out. Take what you can-give nothing back.:thumbsup2 Team Sparrow motto.:lmao::lmao:

Please don't tease me!

The deposit was $200. We put it on our Disney Chase CC so no interest on it for 6 months. Figured we could decide by the February if we wanted to go or not. Well of course we decided to go, how can you not go when you already have the reservation silly.:lmao::lmao: See how I did that. Book just in case with no interest financing. It would be blasphemy to cancel at that point.:thumbsup2

I can help kick if your leg gets tired.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Is Nescafe" actually coffee?:confused3

You could pick up the new family and throw Poland into an economic crisis at the same time, tip away.:lmao:

Sounds like you are having fun.

Ouch?!?:rolleyes1

Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your time there.

Good morning guys. Disney has our tickets for July trip showing as used already along with the tickets we did use in March. Like Jim said phones were a train wreck yesterday but last night I got through to "technical" on a different number and now today I have to call ticket services who are the only ones that can correct. Not having very good experience with MDE so far this year :headache:

we leave for Jersey around 0400 on Wednesday, 14th from Saratoga Springs

Well maybe we can arrange to pass by each other and meet. There's 2 days of overlap.

Those are comfy. I have the Pontiac Aztek. It is older, but similar frame. They are really comfortable.

Yeah it's really nice.

First glance it looked a bit like our Journey. Good sized car there

It's huge when the 3rd row is down. But when it's up not so much.

Cool. Didn’t know if they’d be letting you out of the Sandbox or not.

Yep I'm just at Shaw from the 21st to the 24th. My Aunt lives in Lake Wiley and I might make the trip to see her. We might be able to arrange something.

I bet those people using your tickets appreciated the gift.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I finally got through this morning and of course they had 2 FD rooms last night available when I was trying to get through, but none now for our room and level.:headache::mad::mad: Glad she told me that little tid bit while I was waiting. :sad2: She said that due to announcing the FD and the FP+ for the mine train, everything has been absolutely crazy all week.

I guess I'll just have to use the BB offer from August to get a discount. I updated the app with a new update that showed up this morning and it helped. Now I can at least see the open ressies available. Booked Chef Mickeys and Via Napoli today. The rest will be CS unless something at BOG opens up (Yeah, I know. About the same chance as getting those dues from Norm.:lmao::lmao:).

Good luck getting everything fixed and in order. My stuff is showing correct again on the app and everything is there, including the MNSSHP tix I just purchased.

Umm... That does not sound like fun. You do know we just started May right?:confused3 Sorry things are so crazy. Prayers that when it hit's the fan you don't get any on you.
The good thing is while it's hitting the fan, it's raining $$$$$.

Thank you all very much for the positive thoughts & prayers. Per the surgeon, "could not have gone any better and that she did great" to which I thought at what tearing up her knee multiple times ;) She had two nerve blocks on the knee / leg when we brought her home which have now worn off and pain is pretty high despite us starting her on the pain meds yesterday. Here is her bionic leg along with a video clip that explains with a model (non gross) what the operation was. Thanks again guys for all the good vibes and support
Glad everything went well!

We actually stayed there a couple of years ago. Driving back to NY, DD and I decided what the heck. Called them while on the road and they asked do we want the $35 room or the deluxe $45 one? We splurged and all I can say was what a dump. The room was clean but old, the shops were empty of stock and most of the attractions were closed down. We did not dare eat there. Such a letdown after all the years driving from Florida when I was a kid and my father refused to stop there.
Father knows best.

Arrived at the hotel at 1935 hours..So we did 1225 miles in 18 hours and 4 minutes with three gas stops. Yes I am an engineer. Only traffic issues on the south end of the eastern spur of Jacksonville beltway..

Hey Fed..good dope on 295. Only issue is wife hates big bridges and she was driving that leg.
Nice time! Bet you didn't go a mile over the speed limit. :rotfl:

Enjoy!

Well I am a blasphemer.
For me caramel type bars tend to be rather tough and chewy, peanuts are my least favorite nut and milk chocolate is almost too sweet to even get down. I find most industrial candy bars are way too sweet in general. Now, if the thing were made with a whipped nugget, rolled in cashews, almonds, walnuts or pecans (or all of them) and then covered in dark chocolate at 65% cacao or higher , then I’d have a hard time ignoring it.
Time to come up with a good recipe…. then make and sell it. Time to get into business for yourself. :worship:
