Evening guys.. nothing new around here really. Hearing more snow in forecast, but doesn't look or feel like anything'll happen. Lately it just feels like work:get home:sleep:repeat. Need to break the monotony of it all.

After getting 12'' of snow today and being home with all 3 kids while my DW was at work, I have to go out and snow blow the driveway in a few minutes. Good thing the wind is only gusting to 60mph and they are calling for thunder snow and sleet starting in a while. Fun times.

Bout time I won something! Speaking of winning, I need to check the ticket numbers from last night. I'm assuming if we hit, someone would of contacted me.

After getting 12'' of snow today and being home with all 3 kids while my DW was at work, I have to go out and snow blow the driveway in a few minutes. Good thing the wind is only gusting to 60mph and they are calling for thunder snow and sleet starting in a while. Fun times.

Well now it pouring rain and thundering & lighting out. Guess I'll wait to snow blow. Hope my DW can make it through the driveway and into the garage.

More snow on the way in Central Indiana.

I guess I'm ok with it. It has warmed up some from the sub zero temps we've been seeing, so I'm kind of enjoying it now that we can actually get outside some.

Took the kids sledding last night and I used one of the sleds to test my snowboarding skills. I'm seriously getting some stupid ideas after watching the Olympics. It could have ended up much worse than it did. I managed to ride the sled well enough that I'm really seriously thinking I need to get a real snowboard now.

Great minds sure do think alike in that Valentines card from DW to me was Mickey/Minnie & card from me to DW was Mickey/Minnie and card from DS to DW was Mickey. Looking forward to watching some Olympic hockey this weekend. Stay safe to those getting hit with this crazy winter weather in the NE.

Snow day here for DW and DS. Had a mix of snow, ice pellets and rain over night, maybe about 6 inches total. PITA to shovel but overall not too bad.

Happy Valentine's Day on a Friday!

Last work day before vacation. I emailed Air Tran to explain they would not let me pre-select my seats so I would have to hope my kids could sit with a parent. I politely explained that I am perfectly happy not sitting with my children, but those that do end up with them may not have a great flight. The response was "it is not our policy, but as a courtesy we have assigned your seats on all flights to allow your family to sit together". I guess they know my children as well as I do.

Wil try to post some pics while there, but not sure what the internet situation will be.

Now that would have been the better option since everything is ice here today. Supposed to get some sun today (before more snow tomorrow and even more on Tuesday). Hopefully we'll get some melting.

As I was clearing things yesterday, the first hour was sleet blowing in my face at about 30 mph. After that we had downpours. So by the time I was done 3 1/2 hours later, I was bleeding, soaked and couldn't feel my fingers. Bring on spring, I'm ready.

Stay safe and warm. Winter weather can be rough if you're not used to it or have the gear for it.

Yup… the not having the right gear is the real issue. I think there are a total of six snow plows in the entire county. Well… there are six dump trucks that have a plow blade attached to the front so I guess that counts. Either way, it’s only the main roads that will ever be cleared by means other than nature.

Stay safe, which it sounds like ya'll are. Not too bad to get a day or two off from the daily grind though from snow, again as long as folks are safe and have power. The ice stuff though is another matter.

Yup again… ice do be the real monster. I stayed put yesterday but the employer decided that was enough gold-bricking and ordered everyone back in today. The main roads were passable but getting out of the neighborhood was quite the adventure.

It’s nothing like what’s going on everywhere to the north of us though and we know it.
Y’all take care and may at least a few of these unending storm systems miss their marks.
