DW forgot her DSLR and they were moving too much to get good cell phone pictures. This is the best I could get of Jasmine. Sorry guys... :worried:

And if you can see them out there among the crustaceans, Triton's daughters were the highlight of the show. I think they put them in just for the dads.

It was the Princesses and Heroes show. We had a great time, but for a show that has heroes in the title there were too few villains. Only a couple of the stories got very elaborate and had an actual fight with a villain. DS was extremely bummed that Belle just came out and performed "Be Our Guest" with Lumiere and the silverware. He was excited when he saw her and then wanted to know where the Beast was. Unfortunately, her hero never even appeared in the show until a prince in human form was skating with her in the finale.

Almost like being there.
and I can see that your boy apparently had no trouble seeing her either...

that's a nice pic right there.
Looks like y'all had a great time.
They do need to consider a version devoted to the villains though.
I might go see that one.

DW and both DD's went yesterday as part of a daytime performance for homeschoolers. They said it was awesome!

Thank you all for praying for Ben & his family. From what I read on Facebook they are doing well and can feel the love and prayers for them.

Thanks Andy for posting those pictures. Looks like you had a great night! We thought about going but when we priced out tickets it would of cost us close to $200. It is my slooooow time right now and we couldn't pull the trigger.

Not sure if any of you caught it but on GMA they just did a Home Makeover reveal at Give Kids The World. I missed the beginning of it. If I find a link for it I'll post it.

Have a great Friday!

We could have held Disney on Ice here in Appalachia the last few days. Six below and sunny this morning. My cousin in the land of the cheese heads said it was 11 above. The Controller of the Universe isn't doing his job when it is colder in KY than Wisconsin.

He’s been busy working on a new record for the Beverly challenge.
I imagine that recovering from all that foulness has had him just a might distracted from some other duties.

It was 10 in Charlotte this morning (before the wind chill).
Only one degree of difference but nearly as wacky.

We have a warm front and the obligatory 2-4" of white crap that goes with it coming through today. Check in with your cousin on Monday.

Nice pictures, Andy! Looks like we might have a budding Ebert here.

I saw that they were doing a report from there but had to leave for work before I saw what all the hubbub was about. Very cool!:thumbsup2

Good morning and happy Friday. Stay warm, be safe and enjoy the families this weekend guys.

Good morning! It's finally Friday.

Thanks for sharing & great looking kids - I miss that age :)

Yeah saw that Kali River Rapids, Typhoon Lagoon are closed and and hotel pools are on reduced operating hours

At least Bizzard Beach is in theme.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Still really cold. On dinner break listening to the POTC soundtrack (ride, not movie)

At this rate I might be the only one without the flu. I lost one worker tonight and 2-3 so far Thursday and Friday. And of course the boss wants some extra work done with a reduced crew. Something ain't right here.

Prayers you'll stay healthy through it all. I think I'd rather have extra work than be home sick with the flu. Good luck getting everything done.

My basketball coaching record is intact. For the last two years I have helped out at with the middle school team DS plays for. A friend of mine is the head coach and I offered to help him out. Due to other commitments he has to miss some game. Last year we were 8-0 under my watch and today we won with me in charge. Man I must be some kind of basketball savant. :rotfl:

Seriously we have a great bunch of boys who have some talent and are willing to work hard. It's great to watch them get better everyday.

You sir are the teams rabbit foot. Congrats to Declan and the team. I have a few games this weekend you can coach if you'd like to drive down.

Good morning.

How can it possibly be this frickin cold when the sun is out and it looks like a beautiful day outside???

Because the Earth is tilted away from the sun.:upsidedow At least that's what my DS keeps telling me.:thumbsup2

Well, it looks like the baby decided 4 degrees was way to @#$% cold, so that nice warm womb seems like a good place to stay. Went to the doctor yesterday and got the Eviction Notice for Monday. So if nothing happens before then, we'll be on track to have the first good Monday in ages.

Both my kids were dragged out kicking and screaming. DS was 2 weeks late, DD because I was leaving on business either way and was also a week late. They are still just as stubborn now as they were then.:headache:

1 week until we start the drive down south. Will be so nice to spend some time in double digit weather, let alone above freezing.

Been away from boards for a bit, so I probably missed a heck of a lot. Will, try to play catch up if time permits.

I know we have a thread for this but I wanted to post here too. Over the weekend, one of Juliana's old classmates had a massive seizure and ended up in a coma. We just found out that Ben went to be with the Lord today. Please keep Ben, his twin brother, sister, and parents in your prayers.

Prayers being sent!

I've never been to Disney on Ice, looks like a fun show.

DD and I go every year on Christmas break. The shows are very well done. They had a 30 foot Ursula, the crocodile from PP and Hook as villains. No Aladdin this year. DD missed Genie. Still a lot of fun though and something I think we'll do until the day I am put into the sod.

I suggest you leave now. CJ will let you sleep in the driveway. Too cold to stick around.

Sorry guys, I came across this on FB today, needless to say this person is no longer a friend.

I can't wait for my kids to be finished with the Public school board and anything that is connected to it! It blows my mind at how easy it is for these people to pass the buck and turn away from the needs of children.
The bus won't pick them up because of the distance rule & for the most part that's fine, let it rain, snow or even be too hot, my kids will get to school walking. Although on days that you can get frost bite in just a few minutes of exposure (their walk against the wind is about 7-14mins) there is no option for the school board or buses to help ensure a safe trip to school.
Since missing school isn't an option, that means taking money that should be used for food to feed our family and spending $5.50 (cab)+.50 (tip)= $6 x 7 mornings= $42. For those of you not on a limited budget I'm sure that $42 isn't all that much, well let me tell you YES IT IS! Let's not forget that there is still another week before we have any funds.
Disability does not provide money for transportation for children to use public transit and will only provide public transit fares if you have more than 15 Dr. appointments in a month. That $42 could have bought food & milk for the next 7 days.
Being on lifetime disability is hard enough just dealing with the disability, guilt & frustration that comes with it. Why should the kids have to suffer by missing school and stressing about what they haven't learned or worry about the lack of money for food?
Society is selfish, greedy and the lack of understanding is absolutely disgusting! Yet we try and raise our children to be kind, helpful and empathetic? It makes me wonder if these people were raised the same way & if so, what the hell happened to them? feeling frustrated

Gentlemen, this person lives closer to the school then I do, and their kids miss weeks at a tmie for inane reasons. I showed considerable restraint not replying and chose to unfriend. My DW is stil on talking terms and my oldest is friends with the daughter. I am sorry, but I know these kids have winter gear and all that they do winter camping in SCouts and Guides etc. There is money for trips to see her BF etc. There is money for cigarettes and "other things" My two girls walk to school pretty much every day. Even in this cold, I make sure they are bundled. I walk with them (she sends her kids without her). It's not that freaking long a walk, and "in the wind" is one block at the river, that portion is 5 minutes tops. I can take the girls to school and be home before a half an hour is up. What the hell is wrong with people?

Some people aren't happy unless they are complaining and blaming there problems on someone else.

You should see the emails DW gets as a teacher.

Brent,
I share in your frustration. All we can do is keep telling our kids to not turn out like those people. I have a BIL who turns 38 this year and his two kids live with him at his parents house. My MIL, wakes, feeds, takes the kids to school and then turns arounds and picks up, feeds, puts them to bed. He is too busy on the computer looking for a job. He has been unemployed since 2009.

What the hell is wrong with people?
That right there, is the million dollar question...

Being disabled and needing help is one thing. But if all you're going to do is whine and expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter, then my sympathy level drops fast. Nice job taking the high road and just keeping your thoughts to yourself. :thumbsup2

Brent,
He has been unemployed since 2009.
Holding out for a management position? :rolleyes1
