Today is Crash, the Dis Dad Eating Cheetah, Pirate Princess’s 20th birthday. SHE IS NO LONGER A TEENAGER AND CAN NOT USE THAT AS AN EXCUSE! Really proud of the way she has turned out. Birthday celebration will be postponed until tomorrow when she heads into the city with some friends.

Happy Birthday to Crash and congratulations on making it through the teenage years!

Seems that today is a good day to be born as my middle daughter turns 16 today. She's a good kid but teaching her to drive is accelerating my hair turning gray. Her driving style is pretty much the opposite of what my older daughter's was when she was learning. :scared1: :faint:

With too much time to wait for the April Spring Break vacation and some news, thought I would make some changes. I booked a 5:50 PM Beaches n Cream ADR as well as changing park days from DHS to Epcot. I was surprised that I was able to get an 8:20 AM ADR at Akershus. So, the new plan is: Sunday - Arrive @ BCV & 8:45 AM ADR @ Cape May Monday - 5:50 PM ADR @ Beaches n Cream Tuesday - Epcot 8:20 AM @ Akershus & 4:30 PM @ Via Napoli Wednesday - Welcome Home Wednesday followed by ESPN Club Thursday - 5:40 PM @ Captain's Grille Friday - Departure It's only going to be a one park day trip this time. Since we are trying BCV for the first and maybe only time, we figured we would enjoy Stormalong Bay and the rest of the resort. We are also just a short walk away from the Boardwalk, where we can enjoy the evening entertainment.

I'm looking forward to hearing how you like it. When we go next, I'm considering renting points there so we could enjoy Stormalong Bay and Boardwalk. We would probably only do 2-3 park days, as to not over stimulate the new kids.

Happy Birthday to Andrianna.

We have a middle school basketball tournament to finish off before those games. Playing for 5th today after 2 tough losses yesterday in a very tough pool. We lost the first game by 6 points after trailing by 15 at the half. We took it as a bit of a win given that team by us by 30 on Wednesday night. Overall DS played well but still haven't trouble getting those little bunnies to fall.

Good luck to Declan.

Will do. We really like the Boardwalk, that's our home resort. First time at BCV. I'm looking forward to that lazy river.

Wish her a shiv-free birthday from me. ;)

Afternoon Dads. Been busy today, took the girls to the Ripleys Aquarium and afterwards came out to the Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch. Lots of fun. Full of spaghetti and beer now, looking very forward to heading home and hibernating for a few hours as the snow and bitter cold wind have started up again.

Spaghetti and beer sounds good right about now...

DS and his team-mates came through with a great performance this afternoon and dominated in a 68-24 win to finish of the tournament. Declan had one of his better games with 12 points and 5 rebounds.

Nice confidence booster to finish off the weekend.

Been off the boards for a few days. Quick skim shows birthdays, successes, scary pictures, and the usual level of banter so Congrats, prayers, best wishes etc to all.

CRUD explains my lack of participation lately. I am almost caught up to my normal level of behindness so maybe I can keep up this week. Various discussions concerning getting me some help but nothing definitive and little in the way of removing the source of the drama here but it could be worse. Still on the green side of the sod and as far as I know we are all healthy which is more than I can say for some of my friends and relations.

Happy MLK Day tomorrow for those released from servitude to the overlords.

Morning Guys.

Looks like we are headed back to cooler temps for awhile. Oh well it is January and temps around the freezing mark and better typically don't last long up here.

Have a good one.

Mornin' Guys!

Here's hoping these next 5 days between us and the weekend fly by! :thumbsup2

Enjoyed some great football yesterday. I was the only one to pick the Seahawks to win the Superbowl on the DisDad MFL poll. I guess it will soon be time to find out.

That would be me, enjoying a four day weekend. Congrats on the 3K post.

Last day, last 2:00 am wake up call. This is the big one. For her 26.2 miles, for me the hours of waiting.
Congrats to the Dopey Pirate Princess.

But I still think you got the better end of the deal by riding around on the monorail, eating a nice breakfast at Kona and not having to run 26 miles. :lmao::rotfl2:

If I can get my knee healed up and drop a few lbs, it is on my bucket list!
I'll say it right now... If I could lose 35 pounds, I would run a marathon.

But I feel pretty safe knowing that ain't gonna happen. :lmao::rotfl2:

And since it seems I've done a great job of stopping all posts this morning....here's one to scare everyone off....
Mission accomplished.

Spaghetti and beer sounds good right about now...

I'm not sure there is ever a bad time for that!
I agree 100%. And this is why I'll never lose 35 pounds. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Good Monday Morning Dad's,

It was a busy weekend with sports, kids and professional.

On Friday night, DD's hoops team won 25-7 over a good team. We played really good defense and DD had 8 points and a ton of rebounds to lead us in scoring.

On Saturday, DS and his teammates took game 1 of the weekend on a running 3 pointer by a teammate at the buzzer in OT to win the game. Really good game of back and forth for the entire time.

On Sunday, DS's team had to play a team in a division higher than us. OUr weaker players really struggled, making it a hard game to compete in, but we played well overall and ended up losing by 2. DS was the game high scoring with 18 points (5-3's), 8 assists and grabbed 7 rebounds. By far his best game of the season. It was great to see him step up to the higher competition.

Patriots party after the game was pretty quiet. Losing to the Broncos was expected by most I think, but given the circumstances it was a great season for the Patriots and we look forward to the offseason (well, not really). :rotfl2:

I hope everyone has a good week.

Tough matchup on the basketball court today. Team lost 26-22. Both dds played well with 8 and 6 points, but the other team had an excellent player who was just dynamite. Still we almost won the game and I'm proud of my girls making up 2/3 of the team offense.

Sounds like the girls did well even in a loss. Congratulations to them!

A day late, but Happy Birthday wishes being sent! Hope she had a great day.

Welcome to Championship Sunday! Should be a couple of good games on later today.

Those "little bunnies" are a problem for all of us.:lmao::lmao: It does get better as they grow up, but just when you think it's not a problem anymore it starts over. We try to stress lay ups and foul shots and defense.

Hope you did well in the game. Sounds like Declan is playing well overall.

The overlords did not release me from my duties today.

Morning guys....

Hi David!

Hey Everyone!:wave2:

Morning Dads...we are back to a deep freeze this week. They are also saying that this is the "Blue Monday" when the post-holiday depression hits its low point.:confused3 |Not sure about that, but I am getting the Disney Blues something fierce. :rotfl2:

Good Monday Morning everyone! At least it is sunny. Officially closed, but since SWMBO decided to school the kids today I walked down to get a little bit of work done. Nobody else around so I get to turn up the music.:cool1:

Congrats on the 3K post.

 3,000!

Thanks, I didn't even notice. I suppose this call for some kind of speech, but despite the post count I really don't have much to say other than it has been a pleasure knowing you all, may you have more hump days than Wednesdays, and may your Golden Years find you at Golden Oak.
